Don't judge a set by the rumours months before its release. Theres always crap commons.
Why can't a warrior give life? There is precedent. Putrid warrior, Warrior angel, Pious Warrior. This centaurs predecesor is Fyndhorn Druid, only giving you life after its gone into battle. Get over it. Not all Warriors have to be brutal killing machines.
We saw Angels and Birds in Mirrodin block. If thats too long ago for you... buy the core set.
First of all, the Kodama cycle was fulfilled. Kodama's reach and Kodama's might represent the other two trees. They don't have to be creatures.
I could see them doing provoke and possibly channel, spiritcraft is unlikely because Kamigawa has just been with spiritcraft.
More to add to your list: Buyback, ninjitsu, storm, imprint, scry, splice, morph, gotcha, bushido, flanking...
Convoke can be used as a trick, like a lure. Convoke something big, tapping out most of your defenders... when they attack, Wing Shard them.
I've found that Casual games last a hell of a lot longer than limited games.
The argument for man fixing is weak. They have the common guild lands for that, which are far more accesible. Plus the guild signets, and Terrarion, thats 12 mana fixers there. And for casual players, they need look no further than 5th Dawn for more mana fixing. Sure duals are more efficient, but by no means neccesary.
I think of the cycles as more of a joiner. They connect the guilds. And considering around 10 cards in each guild will be cycle cards, theres still an awful lot of new cards availiable.
Once the whole set is out, there is 3 guilds for GWB (or any 3 colour) deck, and 3 mechanics to play with.
It just remains to be seen, which triple colour combination will have the most broken interaction of the three (or two) mechanics.
to forever refer to it as Humped Llama, fore'er more. Who is with me!?
If we can turn a Black, flying, Mind-ravaging Spectre into a Hippie, then why not?
Who's to say some collective unconscious-esque card won't appear in Ravnica?

Theres a plus to reminder text. Duh.

Quite a lot.
They still have it: Terashi's cry.

Isn't the U/B guild's mechanic a tutoring mechanic?
