On a side note: does that mean that if i brought an album with me to a tournament i could put in cards from the album into my deck using research the way its worded right now?
i believe that in a tournament setting the phrase "outside the game" is restricted to your sideboard.
i'm on the fence for real or fake... muimpression isthat an uber wish seems a little too powerful. 4 of them and i could bring in more than my entire sideboard... (begs the question - why would you,but johnny like to do things because he can, not always because he should...)

the flavor for jin is sooooo far from the original design. it seemed more Black / White to me... kinda a built in card balance / discard feel.

Well, all I know is that I'm getting kinda tired of the current management, INCLUDING Dusty Rhodes. If bringing Steph in will bring some long-awaited change, give me another thing coming.
in case you don't know this... dusty isn't management. neither was eric bischoff. they are characters.
vince is management. steph is management. shane is (to a lesser degreee, by his own choice, by the way...) management.
if you are tired of things as they are - that is a direct reflection of the way that vince and steph are runing the company into the ground.
which is a shame, as there are so many fans (myself included) that are dying for it to be what it used to be...
@Tanthalas: I wouldn't mind seeing Steph and Trips as joint owners for a few reasons.

uh... do you NOT know that almost all of the NON wrestling crap that we've had to endure over the last coupleof years is because of the Nickelodeon writers that Steph has brought in?
that steph thinks that what the shows need is more soap opera angles and less wrestling?
if you think steph in charge is a good thing then you've got another thing coming...
i just think that it is odd that a person whose signature quote is:

would have a problem with someone referencing material that might touch a nerve...

i did forget to mention in my original post that i don't think you should sell your cards if you are getting out now. history has shown me that the cards that i sold back then (power 8 - never had a time walk, and sooooo much more) are worth way more now than i got for them back then.

one of the nice things about MTGSalvation articles is that the site encourages diversity. i like that each author has that extra touch of creative freedom to try to get across their point.
i often think that the WOTC stance of being unwilling to make cards that are on power level with the old cards is a bad bad policy.i know that such cards coming out would only lead to players expecting more and more,and every set would have to have a new power card or it would be ahuge disappointment...
i quit magic right after they announced that they were putting out chronicles. i wasn't going to sit around and watch the cards that i had worked so hard to get (well - some of them iwasjust lucky enough to open... like the three boxes worth of legends...) reprinted and then have the value drop to the ground.
i'm back in. i love the game. is the type 2 format a money efficient format? no... buti'm older now, and i'm willing to invest the money for the hobby that i love. it keeps my mind moving at alll times. i'm always thinking about what i can do next - what can WOTC do next?
