Yeah I remember when this guy was spoiled I checked here to see what people were saying because I thought he looked like the best Jeskai card by far but there was nothing on him lol. I think he looks like a solid card and I'll be running him. I think the great thing about him, like all the Fate Reforged Khans, is that he's extremely flexible and I can see him being awesome in UW Tempo, Izzet, or any All-American decks you put together. He also looks pretty awesome and has a sweet name.
For Blue I'd honestly say all those cards are awesome sauce so I'd probably just go with whichever one you can find for a good price.
Black, I think Bitterblossom is amazing and wins a lot of games on it's on but I'd go with Liliana as she's really the only planeswalker that color has. Ob Nixilis could change that but I haven't cubed enough with him to know that for sure.
Red, Goblin Guide by a mile
Green, I'd probably say Rofellos. All the ones you have listed are solid but I feel like Noble Hierarch can be substituted with any of the other one drops in green and while they won't be as good you can still get a pseudo Hierarch with something like a Avacyn's Pilgrim. Nissa is awesome too but I think there are enough cheaper(money wise) 5 drop planeswalkers that you can live without her.
It's pretty awesome. I'd actually go to FNM if I could cube. Obviously theft is a problem but I've cube drafted at stores that proxied an entire list. So that would be one way they could avoid having to worry about someone's cards being stolen.
Just wonderingn how things have been testing out for everyone? I love cubing but I'm a busy guy and haven't played since the prerelease. Trying to get a cube going this weekend so wondering what worked and what didn't. Also curious about any surprises you guys may have come across.
Up until this set I've only run Wild Nacatl, Sphinx of the Steel Wind, and Nicol Bolas. But I'm planning on expanding that to include the remaining shards and wedges. I think it'll be fun and give my cube a similar feel to Khans limited and standard which should be cool.
Just having trouble deciding on some of the slots.
Bant is probably going to get Rafiq, of the Many but I kind if like Roon, of the Hidden Realm as a fun build around me card.
For Jund I'd like to add Hellkite Overlord but it sounds like he's best in Natural Order decks and while I support ramp and reanimated I'm not sure if that's enough to justify him over something a little easier to cast like Broodmate Dragon.
Mardu, pretty easy to toss in Butcher of the Horde in this slot. Cool demon ahead of the curve.
Temur, is a pretty stacked wedge and I think running Maelstrom Wanderer, Savage Knuckleblade, or Surrak Dragonclaw would be fine. I'll probably toss in Dragonclaw because I think he's the coolest and has the new hotness factor as well.
Abzan, I like Siege Rhino over Duneblast or the Charm.
Jeskai, not really feeling any of the new stuff. Lightning Angel seems a little weak by today's standards. I know most people don't think he's good but I may try Fomor because a lot of my RWU decks end up as Wildfire decks splashing for walkers or other goodies. I think the 7/7 could work well but you never know until you try.
Sultai, not crazy about running charms in these slots but it's probably the best card at the moment.
It's so good it's a little hard to believe. But I'll definitely run this as the strongest card in the wedge if it's for real. I mean Maelstrom Wanderer is pretty cool but this is just insane and I'd definitely want to build a deck around this guy in a draft.
I definitely wouldn't cut Reveillark or Baneslayer for this. In fact if there comes a day when Baneslayer needs to be cut for a more powerful option I will be very afraid.
But I could definitely see tying it out over Cloudgoat Ranger. I think Cloudgoat is the better card but I also think it's close enough that running this and trying out the new card is definitely worth it. A lot of times if I'm not running anthems and Cloudgoat Ranger dies all I have left is 3 ugly kithkin tokens which isn't great and I'd much prefer the 3/4 flyer.
I view my cube as a display of my favorite arts and cards so for me it's all about whichever art I like the best. Value or rarity doesn't really play a factor unless the card is super expensive. In which case I'll just go for a cheaper alternative.
I really enjoy checking this thread out so here's my first contribution. My second attempt at altering. Not perfect but I was pretty happy with how it turned out.
This card messes with the structure of the draft itself, and that just doesn't appeal to me. It seems too meta--sort of like an Un-card. I won't be cubing this, and I hope the set isn't full of cards like it.
This is exactly how I feel about the card. I just don't like something that changes how I draft the Cube. I think Cube should mirror a real draft experience as closely as possible and this feels like an uncard.
Power level I think it's solid but it's really only going to matter packs 1 or 2, if it doesn't show up until pack 3 then it's a total blank because at that point you're probably better just making a pick that'll make your 23.
Definitely not something I want to do on a regular basis but I think it could be interesting to try out once and see how it goes. Then if it's fun toss it in every now and then but not something I could draft every week.
Definitely agree about Satyr Firedancer, awesome card and art but it needed one more power.
Set is definitely disappointing but I'm getting a few decent cards. I'm wondering if I've been spoiled by recent sets or this set is actually just really bad. I'm thinking they dropped the ball with the gods, if they'd turned out more powerful I think the set would look a lot better.
In any case I'm adding:
Brimaz, King of Oreskos
Spirit of the Labyrinth
Pain Seer
Herald of Torment
Courser of Kruphix
Xenagos
I like Kiora too, but not that much more than my current Simic cards to put much effort in acquiring one. If I get lucky and pull one or get a good trade for her I'll run her. Otherwise my Simic section will stay the same.

Also I can confirm it's human.
