This thing literally says "destroy target creature. You gain 3 life." As is, it's stats are good for the tribe and good beats are always welcome.

I think you mean "destroy target ATTACKING creature" ... not quite as strong.

The targeted Knight could still ping a targeted Pro-Black creature and would die in that turn.

Is that Embercleave (or some other legendary sword we know) Lady Of The Lake is returning from the void?

This seems super pushed, but why do I get the feeling it’s not going to largely impact Standard. Pestilent Spirit was pushed and it never took off in Standard or Modern.

Well, they have to reel in sets every once in a while so power creep doesn’t become permanent, but I’m actually enjoying these spoilers. The flavor is a home run. There is uncommonly to rarely anything for me in new sets, but I can always enjoy flavor and seeing where they go with design space.

Where’s that guy/troll who usually does his shtick about an obvious Modern tournament level playable card being garbage and waiting for the real spoilers to begin? Once Upon A Time might compete with Ancient Stirrings for slots.

I don' think you can cast once upon a time for free unless you "can" pay for it.

Having read this a couple more times to see if you’re right, I don’t believe you are. There’s no further riders in casting it without paying its cost other than it checking if it is your first spell you played in the game.

Shocklands will be Standard legal until next October a year from now. I don’t know why people think this is any kind of concern that Throne Of Eldraine doesn’t have any kind of dual lands.

These next four sets will take up next year’s calendar year. Has there ever been precedence where we knew what a full year’s sets took place story wise?

So after thinking about it I think I have an idea of what the Food token is supposed to do. Food reverts a creature or artifact back to its original state.

    Here is my thought process.

    1. His ultimate is meant to be used to exchange Elks he creates.

    2. Exchanging a creature or artifact you control for a creature an opponent controls is powerful, but with the power 3 or less restriction it is not especially useful, especially to just get a 3/3 Elk.

    3. But using a Food token to undo a transformation after exchanging control of an object seems a lot more like an ultimate.

    4. There is a lot of transforming, cursing, disguises, and glamours in Arthurian and Fairy Tales. I could see it being a theme. And every theme needs a way to interact with it and what better way to interact with it than being able to undo the transformation/curse/glamour/granny-pajamas. Hence food tokens.

This has got to be what Food tokens do. Stealing a green 3/3 Elk token isn’t very useful/abusable at all, converting it back to what it once with a Food token sounds like something that is useful in many decks and sounds more in line in what sort of trickster Oko is being made out to be according to the Forbes article!

I’m saving my money until they give us a sweet ass Sliver deck complete with 10-15 brand new Slivers.

Or a tribal deck of some kind where the Tribal card-type returns and matters. Smile

Otherwise they’d have to give me things I never knew I wanted and they haven’t done that yet with Commander decks. So overall I’m never too disappointed with these decks.

When do these go out to the judges so they may finally make it to the secondary market? I’m considering buying a couple or few of these Reflecting Pools.
I’m still waiting for Sliver Legion to make its way to the online stores.

When WotC does these things like release a brand new batch of Commander decks, I go in with the assumption WotC is giving us something new to consider as a Commander build. I also work under the assumption if I want to custom make whatever WotC concocted, it’s my job to fill in the blanks with sought after cards there after.

Original pristine Yuriko is like $14-$16 a pop. That’s too much for some?

Rofl Um, yeah dude, that's a lot to spend on one piece of cardboard. We don't all have $10,000 suits and four Underground Seas. Rofl

I think long and hard about buying any card over $1. Most of the time I don't do it.

Ok, you’ve seemingly spent quite a bit of time (and maybe money) picking a collectible hobby to follow and play that is primarily printed on “pieces of cardboard”.
