flavorwise i guess it's probably like someone in the past altered some certain event, so the characters (like Crovax and Akroma) or items (like Pirate's Charm) are timeshifted/planeshifted, meaning they're slightly different.
But I thought Mirrodin's storyline takes place AFTER Time Spiral's storyline?? Could it be the reprints in Future Sight will merely be from Mirrodin? (and kamigawa and ravnica, if they can twist the story somehow)
Even though i ended up 1-3 it was a rly fun prerelease.
my deck was really synergistic with 2 Dread Returns, 1 citizen-producing-spellshaper and Triske-pentavus mix. In one game it was a bad start with a mulligan and my opp playing Swamp, Mindlash Sliver. Swamp, Suspend Curse of the Cabal. But i played 4 lands and Groundseeker, and when he sacrificed his sliver i discard Triske-pentavus, and also sac'ced a land with groundseeker for the Curse. Next turn i drew a swamp to cast Dread Returns, though, and it was all over for the opponent as I stabilized to cast the citizen spellshaper and another Dread Returns.
But your example does raise an interesting question: if you can have Demon Spirits, and Dragon Spirits, why not Angel Spirits?
Religion. Angels in Magic have been deliberately distinguished from spirits so as not to offend people of various faiths.
I don't think Mistform Ultimus did offend anyone
but anyways, it's great that they put Visions on mtgo, it'll definitely allow old school decks to come back (any other gd cards in that set other than the ones used in prosbloom?)
Well what I think is Spectral Searchlight is slightly inferior compared to Boros Signet, because when you can't play the Searchlight on turn 2 if you don't have Gifts of Estates, and if you play it on later turns the Searchlight will set you back by 2 mana while the Signet only 1.
in my own deck I run Renewed Faith cuz if you're desperate for life you can gain 6, or else you can cycle it (and thus you get uncounterable ping thru meditation) and gain 2 life too. maybe you could try that.
i hacked monday's mtg.com articles so i read it early it says they're gonna extend the guild mana idea further to all five colors and colorless! the mana cost will look like this: (in a further attempt to save space they're planning to use numbers to show how many of this mana u have to pay) this mana cost will be printed in a set he reveals as "Darksteel" and he had a preview card too:
Skullclamp
Artifact - Equipment (what!? a new cardtype! with a creature type!)
Equipped creature gets +1/-1 and when it goes to graveyard from play, draw two cards.
Equip (Pay 1 to attach this to a creature u control. play only at sorcery speed. consider that creature equipped.)
how awesome! now we have a new mana cost, a new card type and creature type, a new mechanic called equip, a new card and a new set name.
but first, my rating on this card:
it's totally crap! i'm betting it's gonna be common and it'll be flushed down the toilet like i did with my moxes (who needs moxes when you have lands?). the flowstone mechanic didn't see much play, i dont see why this would see any play. the card drawing ability is too weak, and i'm guessing that equip will be like enchantments so when your creature dies you have to bury the artifact as well. i'd rather playDrowned Rusalka over this.
so that's what MaRo spoiled, then next JMS had another card spoiled too, for flavor (but he only gave us:
Arcbound Ravager
Artifact Creature (wow, two cardtypes on a line! that's a first!)
Sacrifice an artifact: Put a +1/+1 counter on ~
Modular 1
0/0
trust me, carrion feeder didnt work, so this wont either
browbeat is useless after the opponent knows you're playing darksteel reactor because ppl will just choose to take the damage since you're not winning by taking damage.
u can consider putting infused arrows in =P goes well with the charge counter stuff
everytime i think of death i immediately think of the lack of time...it's like even though i'm just 15 but if i die and dont do anything significant then everything will be a waste
Pristine Angel...the art is so awesome, and everything about the card is just awesome. i fell in love with it the first time my friend played it against me...he had two in play arghhh
無止盡的進軍
意悉多的遺產
再誕的儀式
精神解體
there isn't rly the word 止盡 (seperately they mean stop and ending respectively) but anyway the best translation probably IS Endless Charge.
遺產 usually means properties left after death but legacy could also be a word for it, and Ixidor's Legacy sounds better.
Nth wrong with Rebirthing Ritual or Ritual of Rebirth; 再誕 means rebirth, 的 is basically the english equivalent of 's, 儀式 means ritual or ceremony.
精神 means state of mind, or mind for that matter. 解體 does mean dismantling, but Mind Dismantling sounds soo...strange.

but i hope the dragon will be more interesting than that--best if it has some abilities related to suspend too--like all spells gain suspend 1 or sth
and in multiples too
anyways, nice find, I think we might be seeing an interesting setting for TS.
um so u have unlimited black mana and unlimited life? then u should've won the game just by playing the ability anyways
