    So who's excited for the new season next Tuesday? I can't wait to see what angles they take after the last season ended. Rumors are, Bobby will be back, Charlie will have a few spots, and all the major storyline characters (Death, Crowley, etc) will be back. This sounds like the final season to me, but I think it may be time. I love this show, but making it to 9 seasons is remarkable in todays tv world. Don't ruin it by running it down.

    So obv angle is obv angle. I figured Rhodes family would be involved. Dustin did a good job in his match vs Orton a few weeks ago. Hopefully he did some cardio so he could be a little better. I was hoping to see Dusty say "Put the titles on the line". It would be awesome to see Dustin/Cody as champs. I'm actually excited for the ppv, it should be a good night of tv.

    If you're good at Magic, and have a decent MtGO collection, you could just grind 8 man constructed events. End of the week, convert your winnings into paypal money. Will it be 8-10 bucks an hour, no. But it'll most likely be greater than 0. MtGO speculation is a very real thing as well. I've only done it a few times (Ichorid and Olivia are my two biggest gains). Go over all the RtR Block cards and look at mythics/rares worth less than a tix. Keep your eye out at ALL major tournaments. If a card takes a format by storm out of nowhere (i.e. Ichorid), then buy all copies you can as fast as you can. Iirc I bought Ichorids at less than 1/2 a tix during Dredge's first big tournament. I got over 70 copies. Within a week they were at 15 each. Unloaded all of them.

    I play basketball (SF, I'm 6'2"). Small Forwards are your slashers. Your guards are your play makers and shooters. Small Forwards to the cutting, high screens, a lot of movement wiout the ball. Power Forward and Centers are your big men playing low. I'm a good passer, but can't handle a basketball like a guard does. But other than that, I've done golf, ultimate frisbee, in the park football. I try to do some sports with friends whenever I can. I builds good friendships and bonds. But I stick to my bread and butter (basketball).

    I'll be playing UW this weekend at an IQ. I've been playing it with TONS of success both online and irl. I got into a debate with another local control player about finishers for control (he likes UB over UW) and everyone is on Aetherling. Don't get me wrong. Now that Restoration Angel is gone, Aetherling is probably the best creature in Standard. However, in UW (or UB Control), the best finisher is Jace, Memory Adept. The card comes down 2-3 turns before Aetherling and wins by the time you would have swung the first time with Aetherling. I've had 1 Aetherling in board (w/ a Cavern forever). I have MD Jace, MA and will continue so moving forward. Another thing that really drives me nuts is Divination. Stop playing sorcery speed draw cards. UW card draw should start with 4 Azorius Charm and 4 Sphinx's Revelation. If you feel you need more card draw, play a 1 of Inspiration (that's what I do). The point for control is to not tap out on your turn unless you are playing a BOMB. Divination isn't close to a bomb. For reference, my list is:



    Personally, this is where I feel UW should be.

    I know this isn't UW(r), but me and some friends came up with:



    Theory behind this version of Trading Post is to use Burnished Hart to ramp your mana quickly and every turn (w/ the help of Trading Post). Keep their board clear w/ Shadowborn (Sacrificial Goats). Eventually kill them with Corrupts or Demon beat down. I really wanted to try Post and Bow in the same deck. 7 life a turn is probably more than an aggro deck can handle.

    The Codex Shredder is not for mill, it's for recursion of your good cards (you mill yourself). I soft locked a few people on MODO last night (2 Trading Post, 1 Codex Shredder, 1 Dissipate in gy). Granted the lock cost 10 mana, but it's a grindy deck.

    I was talking to some friends about it and I think the Weapons need to be explored with Trading Post. Obv Whip of Erebos would be good with Trading Post, but how would Heliod's Spear (1/2 Goats), Bow of Nydea (Grow your goats/Mutavaults/Platemail). Not sure if the Hammer or the Trident would be any good.

    Thanks for the advice guys. Apparantly, the VA Tenant handbook does not cover single family homes (which I rent). My landlord will be visiting this weekend and we may discuss mutually breaking the lease and me moving out on the 15th of October.

    Looking back, I noticed I'm being strong-headed, but I think that's just my nature when someone comes at me the way he did.

    So I'm currently at 2 years and 2 months in my 3 year lease here in Virginia. My landlord has been trying to sell the house for the last year. He fired his last realtor and hired a new one. His new realtor has yet to introduce himself to me or even call me to talk about concerns. Below is a chain of emails between me and my landlord.


    From Landlord:

    Joseph,

    The realtor has notified me about the apperance of the outside. Please do what needs to be done to make the home presentable by the beginning of next week. I also have concern about the back yard as well. One more thing I would like to add is that I never received the updated renters insurance info we discussed some time ago. Please forward this info so I can file it.

    From Landlord:

    Update on this issue. I have been informed that there are tires/wheels in the front yard that need to be stored (possibly the shed) and the flower beds need to some attention (weeds) as well as the shrubs/trees in the front. Also, if you are not already doing so, could you please store the trash can behind the fence.

    I told you when I moved in that I have little concern about rose bushes and such. I'm not a gardener, nor do I want to be one. I asked if I could just pull it all out, since I have no interest in maintaining a rose bush. You told me no. So I leave it alone. The tires/rims were there for me change out for the fall/winter, and will be moved, however, this is starting to concern me. I'm not ok with you telling me to how to keep my stuff. I moved my truck cause of your concern for the pipes/wiring under ground. Let me live here in peace. As for your request for the house to be presentable by early next week, that's not the notification I asked for. I need 24 hours notice (at a minimum) when your Realtor has someone he wants to show the house to. He has also yet to contact me to talk about his scheduling, again I have not met him, I do not want him in this house while I"m not here. I told you my schedule. I work 0700-1700 M-F. I have duty weekends every 3 weeks (I will have duty the week of the 30th). As for the trash can. I keep it in the front yard cause that's where I want it. It's easier for me to take the trash out and remember to have it by the road on trash day. The two kids that mow the lawn for me had a rock from the yard break the glass outside door. They ordered new glass for the door and it will be here this week. I will update you when it comes in and is installed. Have you received my rent check? I did it though the bank this month to save on the bank fees and postage. As of yesterday it hasn't posted. It was to be delivered no later than the 18th.

    His reply:
    The check was printed on the 19th and was received on the 20th. You may want to discuss this with your bank! It was not delivered on the 18th. If you need a copy of it I can provide it. Per city code (Ch. 32.1 Sec. 1-25c) the trash can goes behind the house. Please at least put it behind the fence. Maintaining the yard includes the flower beds. Please submit the RENTERS insurance policy tomorrow. I am asking these things because they are the rules. If you cannot adhere to them I will notify your command and send your eviction notice which will legally give you 6 days to remove your belonging and vacate the property. I do not wish this but it is an option I have considered. I will call you to discuss so we can come to some resolution. Remember, the property belongs to me and I mentioned that if you took care of it we would not have any issues. So now we have a broken glass storm door, torn/soiled carpet, over grown flower beds, dirty gutters, and dead grass in the back yard where the vehicle was stored. Previous problems include the water meter that was parked on by a vehicle of some nature which busted the water line and multiple grass complaints from the city/neighbors. I am trying to sell this home and 24hrs notice is too much time. The buyers will be gone by then. This is making it difficult for the realtor to show the property so if you cannot be more flexible on this, say 3hrs notice then I will exercise my right to evict. Like I mentioned above, I will call you so we can sort this out.

    My reply:
    I'm sure you can't evict me cause I'm asking for 24 hours notice of a house showing (which is my right). I will notify my Chain of Command tomorrow of this email. If you want me to move out, we can just break the lease and I can be moved out by the 15th. Since I've paid rent until then. There is no dead grass in the back yard. The flower bed is not overgrown. What do you mean dirty gutters? Then you want to mention the carpet (which we discussed previously, which also happens when people live in one place for 2 years). Out of courtesy I wanted to replace the carpet when I move out. But if I'm being asked to move out before my lease is up, then I'm not going to do it. The "multiple notices" about high grass is here-say since I've never once received anything about it except from what you said. The city would have left me a notice on the door if there was a complaint. Like I mentioned in multiple emails and talks with you. The Realtor is not allowed in the house without proper notice. Remember you need my assistance in selling the house, putting me on a back foot and defensive is not the way to get that. While this is your property, I have legal rights while this is my home. Let me live my life and I will assist you as much as I can in selling the house. If not, maybe we should part ways on the 15th of October. Please do not call me, just email me. I want proof of our conversations for my chain of command to read. I will mail you a copy of the renter's insurance policy as soon as I get it. I'll contact Geico tomorrow to get ANOTHER copy for you.

    So long story short. My landlord is not happy with me wanting 24 hours notice on a possible buyer for his home. He also wants me to keep up his rose bushes (which I told him when I moved in, I do not like rose bushes and will not keep them up, I'd rather remove them). He wants to mention it as yard maitenance (which is in the lease), but that's more land scaping and/or gardening. My question is, am I being too hard headed with this, or is he pressing his boundries as the landlord.

    Notes on his concern:
    Broken Storm Door - just happened last week. The yard service company I use had a rock fly up from the mower and they are replacing the glass (should be done this week)
    Soiled Carpet - I moved in with 2 puppies and was in the process of training them. There's some spots on the carpet. But when I deep clean the carpet, it looks new again (with the exception of a small portion by a wall that one of the puppies clawed at).
    Gutters - no clue?
    Dead Grass - I bought a hobby truck a while back and kept it in the back yard while I worked on it so the puppies could be outside with me.

    Hey guys, I'm also jumping on the Dega-Midrange deck. I feel it can (and will) play very similiar to Jund of last season. I'll share my current list and some points:



    You probably see a card missing from my list. Rakdos's Return. I was in a toss up between that and Chandra. RR is very good vs midrange and control (if it resolves), however, it's horrible against decks with Whip, with Smiter, and the fast Aggro decks. Chandra is not. She continually allows you to "draw" cards every turn or ping small creatures from the board. I'm not super excited about Desecration Demon, however, I feel it will play the same role as Huntmaster/Olivia did in Jund. It's a big creature that potentially removes creatures from opponents field. As for my sb:

    Lifebane Zombie - is great vs GW Midrange and WW. Both will be very popular.
    Anger of the Gods - WW and RDW.
    Glare of Heresy - WW, Smiter, Reckoner, Heliod, Elspeth, Detention Sphere, the list goes on.
    Thoughtseize - the hedge 2 copies for control.
    Heliod, God of Sun - Now this can be 2nd copy of Elspeth, either is fine I think.
    Whip of Erebos - grindy games.
    Underworld Connection - control and other grindy midrange decks.

    Good show last night. The Aries/Styles match took a bit to get going, and there seemed to be a few miscues early...when the match got going though...AWESOME! Bully n Anderson was a lot better than I thought it would be. AJ n Magnus was ok, you can tell they were giving AJ his big push. Honestly they need that 2nd singles title that people can push for (x div doesn't count). I could see a US Title.

    Some of my opinions/notes:
    Any number of Mutavaults seems wrong when you are trying to curve W into WW into WWW.
    My version has 11 First Strike creatures
    Fiendslayer + Archangel makes for awkward blocks
    Brave the Elements or Calvary Pegasus allow for some insane all in attacks.
    I'm not 100% sold on the 3 Elspeth, but I wanted something for control matchups.

    His parting promo gave me chills. He did such a great job. I'm hoping for a Dusty Rhodes confronting Vince about this and they get into it. HHH comes out to save Vince. Then the next week Dustin comes out with Dusty and challenges them to a match. I want to see The Natural again. His flying clothesline and bulldogs were so good. Then this will lead up to a 6-Man match at some ppv (Rhodes vs McMahons/HHH) with the stipulation if the Rhodes win, Cody will be reinstated.

    Is something wrong with Katlyn? She's my favorite diva in the ring (AJ has the best promos...Psycho AJ has always gotten good reviews).
