It changed flying's reminder text from (This creature cannot be blocked except by creatures with flying), to something more wordy.Posted in: Improbable Things

Of course I also use a lot of utility one drops. I should really get around to posting my list....
4 Experiment One
4 Kalonian Tusker
4 Leatherback Baloth
2 Scavenging Ooze
4 Strangleroot Geist
1 Thrun, the Last Troll
2 Beast Within
2 Dismember
1 Garruk Relentless
4 Rancor
4 Vines of Vastwood
2 Treetop Village
Now I'm not too sure what to do with those Beast Within slots. A 2nd Garruk? Not sure.
Anywho, I haven't played modern in a long while, so I'm not sure what the meta is looking like. There are some obvious changes that should happen here, but any help is welcome!
4 Champion of the Parish
4 Soldier of the Pantheon
2 Experiment One
4 Mayor of Avabruck
4 Precinct Captain
4 Hamlet Captain
1 Voice of Resurgence
2 Banisher Priest
2 Silverblade Paladin
2 Sublime Archangel
4 Rancor
2 Garruk Relentless
2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride
Land: 23
4 Sunpetal Grove
4 Temple Garden
3 Cavern of Souls
3 Gavony Township
1 Windswept Heath
4 Plains
4 Forest
My initial thoughts are to replace the Pilgrims and Captives with more impressive 1-drops (Experiment or Solider of the Pantheon), to main some Thalia's due to the low spell count.
I was also thinking of changing it into more of a Human Blitz deck with some Burning-Tree Emissaries and stuff.
LMK guys!
And I definitely had no plans to run Prey Upon. Never liked the card. You need too much to make it work imo.
anywho, I'll be running a fairly stock list, but I have two questions:
1) what would a good sideboard look like going into an unknown meta?
2) Does Garruk Wildspeaker have any merit? He's an overrun that also can churn out a string of beasts. He was really good in similar decks in his own standard.
While Merchant is probably more inherently powerful, I feel like Maggot ' easier time in multicolored decks and bigger body makes him seem more versatile.
In that sense, though, both give you a 3/3 for 4 and give you value later.
