He is probably the best PW for EDH multiplayer I've seen. Immensely threatening to some players, and not even a slight worry for others. I can see a table fighting to kill and save him- so he can ult.
I went with Thassa. Toughness really isn't an issue with indestructible- and most lack evasion. Thassa is card quality and beats in reliably and hard. Others might have possibly faster clocks, but the rest aren't as surefire.
Its an omnitell deck. Play Omniscience , cast Enter the Infinite putting an expensive creature on the top of your deck. Cunning Wish for Release the Ants. Keep casting it until opponent is dead.
Ah. I was thinking Lab Man in "Oops all spells". It makes a lot of sense in Omnitell.
18 lands is fine without fetches, even with 3 Sulfuric Vortex, you'll be fine. I would play Vexing Devil over Lavamancer in any build, but especially a fetchless build. Don't play Sudden Shock. The only situation you mentioned where it is worth it is the Lab Man and many decks are playing Release the Ants now.
I am so confused why any deck would run Release the Ants.... Please explain this to me before my head explodes.
I'd say something to look into as well is one format +Limited. So a modern or legacy and a weekly draft. Limit your non once weekly draft money to around 50$ and you are looking at about 100$ per month on spending, which seems low, but becoming a great limited player is an amazing skill of picking up trade fodder.
Volrath's Dungeon- it helps us keep creatures off board- but more importantly we can Mindslaver and then have our opponent pay out all their life. Other pay effects aren't limited to the current players turn.
Umm...
To work I wear slacks and button ups usually. Often with a tie.
Just lazing around it is pretty variable. I have a unique sense of style, from martial arts pants and a tee; to suspenders and bowler hats- but across the board it looks pretty "punk" or "hipster".
I just graduated with my B.A. and I live in Huntsville, AL- which would normally mean I'd have an easy time getting a job, but sequester is an awful thing and it is ruining my chances.
My leash is up in November on my apartment. I've decided that if I don't have a job by then, that I'll probably join the Air Force or Navy as an officer, but that is a six year commitment.
I am a pretty big fan of physical activity (though not running unfortunately, due to some knee issues) and don't mind working out and keeping fit in addition to my job requirements for the military, so that is a non-issue.
So my fellow nerds, how would you describe military life as a whole, esp. in regards to being able to still nerd out when you aren't working?
The nerd things I'd really like to do are mostly MTGO, paper magic, and light computer gaming (not like MMO levels of all nite, all the time).
At what point do their interests become socially unacceptable? The unyielding tolerance of people these days is a little insane. I suppose we should all be so open-minded that our brains fall out.
I feel that the line that should exist for "acceptable" is pretty easy; is the hobby ethical, if yes, accept, if no, reject.
My ethical standards are basically harm based, so if your hobby is strangling babies, I can't approve.
Green is the second or third best color in M14.
Green suffers when other colors get good creatures and green doesn't, in return, get good removal.
If green has the best creatures by a large margin, it is good. If green gets other slices, it is ok.
In M14, green has the best creatures and relevant removal, it is a "good" color.
The only time it was the best color I can remember was triple ROE. It was also close to best in AVR.
Curse of Swine is pretty sweet too. EDH for sure- decent in limited. That is about it unfortunately.

If it is magical pony, power hour, have at it.
