Actually, I'm pretty sure that's the point of any bannings. Because, um, if banning a card resulted in no change to a format, you probably shouldn't have banned it.
Again, there never was a "switch back." There was no point at which Wizards intended to make 4-set blocks going forward; Lorwyn/Shadowmoor was always intended to be a unique, weird exception.
Yep, the policy is simply 4 sets per year. With the 4th set alternating between a core set and some other type of release. So far we've seen 3 different methods. Maybe they'll repeat one in 2010 or maybe they'll try a different method.
What he describes hasn't happened due to a server hiccup. Wizards has backups to make sure they can roll the server status and player accounts back a day or two to be sure players don't lose card licenses due to their own incompetence. However, people have lost accounts and cards due to password crackers and other malicious hackers stealing them. Wizards generally won't bother to help a victim of theft beyond re-appropriating and returning any cards that are still in the thief's account. If the thief moves the cards again, Wizards won't do anything about it. It'd cost them little to nothing to replace the card licenses for the victim, but they don't. Why should they?
The bank or its insurance company sells your mortgage to another bank, and you start making payments to the new bank. A bank insolvency really can't compare to the possibility of MTGO shutting down because the bank doesn't contractually confiscate the house in case of insolvency or default. If they don't sell the mortgage, or they call in the loan because you missed a payment, they sell the house to pay off the loan and refund you the excess if there is any.
Look, pally, you stated that people have lost thousands of cards numerous times. This is blatantly false and makes you a laughable.
I know that’s a pretty extreme example, but this goes down to things like, their server hiccups and you lose your 3,000 cards (happened NUMEROUS times since its started).
. They've still got nearly two weeks to fill before the prerelease; to simply have all the info dropped on us at once would be like swallowing a five-course meal without chewing.
Thanks, that's what I was to trying to get clarified.
Let the speculation begin on what the other three lands hold... oh, I guess I'll give y'all a clue: One of them has an ability which has never ever been on a non-creature card before...
Perhaps I missed it in an earlier thread, but has Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum bothered to give an accounting as to why they don't just post the entire spoiler?
1) On Monday (4/9), Fileplanet will be making the Beta client available to anyone who has registered an account with them. You do NOT need to be a paying Fileplanet customer to get the beta on Monday, but you do need to be registered.
2) For those of you that don't want to register with Fileplanet and for previous testers who aren't aware of the Fileplanet arrangement: on Wednesday next week (4/11) we will be inviting some number of previous beta (set) testers to join the v3 beta. As far as actual numbers, I can't really say (because I don't know precisely what QA needs yet) Expect this number to increase on something like a weekly basis until QA is satisfied that the server can handle what we're throwing at it.

ugh people make me sick. Good to hear he got partial recovery. I mean, it seems so wrong to do this This is sadly not the end of tragedies of these sorts. Lets hope that WOTC makes it harder to hack in 3.0
Cheers, Luke
WotC wasn't hacked. Someone knew his password, likely someone that he thought was a good buddy and used his account. Same thing can happen with your online banking account.

Most likely was. But then if you can't afford SCG premium you can't afford to play Magic.
Not after Menendian got Garfield to state for the record that R&D was wrong.
Creative team determines card names not the templaters. So I doubt that 'Beseech' is the answer to that hint.

Reported for deliberate spouting lies.
Set LarBo's boomerang activation to 7 hours.

Infraction for flaming.
EDIT: Infraction for removing the other infraction from your post. DO NOT edit a post a mod has edited. We do it for a reason.

P.S. It's not entertaining, but it is consistent.
That would be why I quoted the part when Number 1 straight out said they had cards not yet revealed.

Wotc's server don't respond fast enough for true brute force attack.
