I'm surprised no one's mad here. The more they print this, the more diminishing returns they get. While the original print is still $7, the Modern Masters 2015 reprint is $5, and the normal Ultimate Masters version is $4.50. Sure, if Jund ever returns to Modern in full force like Reid Duke wishes it does, we can catch up to the boxtopper Fulminator Mage at $28, but that won't happen anytime soon. This will top out at $4, and we can't have that in a $16 pack.
Sadly $4 is better than most of the rares in this set. But we knew that would happen. They keep spoon feeding us crap and charging more for it.
Sliver Legionis included!
Dual lands aren't an option, back in the days i had them aal but well... Shocks and Fetched are being considered. In my playgroup this manabase is somewhat the default setting.
You're already running Triomes. Fetches will make better use of those, and Shocks are cheap enough that you should invest in a set for EDH anyways. Having mana fixed untapped makes a big difference!
I think you should think about upgrading that mana base. I know ABUR Duals won't be very realistic, but at least get Shocks and Khans Fetchlands. Here's to hoping Enemy Fetches get reprinted soon.
Sidewinder and Brood Sliver aren't my favorite, but as noted, I don't run near as many slivers as you.
Just because reprints tank prices doesn't mean that they won't eventually go back up in price. Exploration (Urza's Saga) was 43$ before Conspiracy, went down to 11$, and is now up at 78$.
Easily available less than that on TCG Player. Even the Saga one is under $60 for a nice copy. If you are talking MP you are in the $50 range.
I get your point that reprints eventually go up (if not reprinted over and over), but doesn't have any effect on how awful of a deal it is to pay $16 a pack for $3-4 worth of cards...
I'd actually keep Winged Sliver in there. Redundancy is good for the most important slivers. I play all 3 flyer granting slivers. To me Haste, Mana Generating, and Flying are the most important ones to have.
I'm saying that most packs will be worth less than half of what they cost. That's feel bad on a whole new level. After reprints tank prices it'll probably be more like 25% or less of the cost for most packs. Of course booster packs are always a gamble, but the the high price point with little to no additional cost to Wizards makes it more like just burning your money.
Looking at the reprints of jumpstart and core 2021
Not only I think the suposive cards rudy found we're most likely real I think there gonna make the odds a lot better of getting a pack value back (still overpriced packs though especially the vip edition)
Where is this list of potential cards? Also, isn't Rudy the owner of Alpha Investments? Are we sure he is just not talking the cards up, so the finance people can move their cards?

Well, a $3-4 pack...
Why shouldn't we be pissed?
This is a blatant cash grab. 2 rares don't cost any more than 2 commons to them.
Or like 5 times the price... lol

Problem isn't those cards... it's the $0.50 garbage that will likely be most of the cards.
