Completely agree. When Return to Return to Ravnica hit they were $5-6 each.

I like the art, but not for Magic cards. Keep them in your binders but out of your decks.

This deck looks like a PITA to play against. Too much to remember about who can attack who and who can't attack someone. I'll politely not want to play against this. Magic is supposed to be fun.

That is how I do it for the most part. But I have access to a color printer as well. Color ink cartridges aren't cheap either. I would never begrudge someone for using a sharpie marked proxy if their finances don't allow them the luxury of a computer/printer/color ink cartridges to print proxies. In my world Proxies are fine. I run a few that I don't own, but it's not a ton and it's for casual fun games among friends. I don't go crazy with them and have a 50% deck. That said, I do proxy my duals (yes, I own them all), but I don't like to constantly move them around decks and most of them are in Legacy decks where I need to have the originals. It's also prudent to not be shuffling $5000 in duals in a 99 card deck all the time.

Most people don't proxy to avoid buying cards, but rather to test them. But honestly, if done well, I have no problem with a 100% proxied deck. I don't need people to spend a ton to have fun with a group of casuals.

I disagree with you, but thank you for thinking your complaint all the way through. There is no better candidate for a mythic upgrade than Damnation (except Tarmogoyf), so the only realistic options are Damnation at mythic or no mythics at all. I'm not sure how the printing math would all work out, but I'm sure we agree that Crovax at mythic is just dumb.

When has Damnation or Wrath been printed at Mythic?

The only answer is Wrath in FTV, but all cards in FTV are marked as mythic. There is no reason to bump it here except money grab. Pick another card and put it in the mythic slot, easy as that.

Bravo Wizards! Bending people over. In almost every instance they are charging more than secondary. And $8 for a foil land and $6 for a nonfoil land?! Just silly...

I know these aren't for everyone, but that kind of retail price for a foil land (or any of these cards really) that are print to demand is just a slap in the face.

I'm fine with the $30, but they definitely have to come more than just one of each. I agree with what they have right here $30 is too much.

At $30, I'd want at least 6 of the non-foils of each. This puts them at $1 a land. Still more than they should be, but tolerable since they are "special".

The lands would be fine at $5 for non-foil or $10 for foil I think. Charging 6 times that much is why I don't buy any product that helps Wizards bottom line at this point. I only buy singles. These greedy fools need to be put in check.

While "full text" basics are nice little spin on basics they should never cost hundreds of dollars or $30 for five. Ever.

The best deal is definitely the shock bundle. 15 of them that will likely be $30+ before long for $120 is enticing, even for someone like me that absolutely loathes Secret Lairs. It's hard to pass up $8 a shock.

Strixhaven is fine with basically All is Dust holding practically all of the value.

The art on Friday Show is nice, Wrath of God's title is a bit hard to read, but I really wish that was $20.

Just when I thought their ideas for Secret Lair cards couldn't get any dumber.....

A good number of Secret Lairs are not even worth buying, why would I ever want a subscription so I can get a playset of Lightning Bolt, mana rocks, basic lands, etc? Secret Lairs are already a niche product and with a subscription they are going even more niche with this.

I hate Secret Lairs so very much.

It's casual anyway, so there's nothing at stake and let's have fun.

And therein lies the truth. Its for fun so proxy or don't proxy. If your group has fun without proxies so be it. No need to berate or belittle people that decided to proxy up cards or decks to play a game for fun as a certain snobby elitist in this thread. I would suggest using a proxy until you purchase the card, why put a limit or boundary on your "fun"? You could find out you actually don't want the card after playtesting it and save your money then. I have done this in the past on several occasions and glad I have. Don't shackle yourself, have more fun.
