Abyssal Persecutor never saw any play whatsoever, but this will be a different format so who knows. We are currently playing a really bad shock in standard, even if this guy is worse than Persecutor, the format may be weak enough for him to shine.
Edit: I decided to check just to make sure my memory wasn't bad. Yeah, exactly 3 persecutors in any decks at any large events in its entire run. It was around in the time of Caw Blade, so it makes sense.
If you blink him, you can stack the abilities as you wish, right? So your opponent can draw the card before you exile one.
Also, best art of the set so far. Must be amazing in foil.
You might be correct here not entirely sure, but you very well might be. I'm going to ask one of the judges at the draft tonight.
Your outcome is correct but your reasoning is wrong. You will never get to choose the order his abilities go on the stack because they both trigger at different times, however if you blink him with his first ability still on the stack the second one will resolve first, he will draw, and then you pick one to exile.
Ive played mill for a while now, and Jace is absolutely awesome everywhere but against attrition decks and twin. If your turn 1 play is a crab followed by a Jace your sitting in good shape. The fact that he lets you cast your traps for their trap cost is fantastic, and removal is already bad against us. If they decide to run removal for Jace just side him and your crabs out for Mesmiric Orbs and other necessities.
I've been running a trap toolbox and it's been amazing. It allows me to run a single Ravenous Trap mainboard and Mindbreak in the board. There have been so many blowouts caused by that card. Having Trapfinders Snare and Visions of Beyond is a lot like having Demonic Tutor (at instant) and Ancestral Recall. Also, Dimir Charm is under rated, especially with Jace.
Emrakul, devoured of minds 6aaaaaa (using a for waste symbol)
Legendary Creature: Eldrazi
Flying, Shroud
When you cast cardname, tap all lands your opponents control, and empty all mana from their mana pool. Opponents lands do not untap during their next untap step.
Sacrifice a permanent : look at target players hand and the top card of their library. You may choose a card, and exile it. Activate this ability only on your turn.

It's a good card, but not for aristocrats. A deck like that wants it's sac outlets to be free. I've played literally every iteration of that deck in every format, and any time mana is attached to the cost of has been too much.
I've had this happen, and contacted the Admins. They said that there was nothing they could do and I just got duped my Puca points over something that wasn't even remotely legitimate, since I had scans of the cards before shipping. This is why I refuse to use Puca.
You can always just discard cards to Mind Over Matterto limit your card draw. The whole concept is exciting but not very good. Its the kind of EDH I wish everyone played because it's more fun.
That art is insultingly bad. The guy looks fine, but he looks like he is dancing. The red aura makes no sense and there is literally nothing going on in the background.
Fetches are definitely not at their max. Think about it this way, opening 2 fat pack s with 6 fetches would be awesome, and this person is guaranteed those odds making this trade.
