So, Medomai is worded like that so even if its cast or gets blinked (and gets haste for some reason) during extra turns, you still wont get extra turns. At least, that what I understood from the wording on the card.
So, yeah, I got the exact wording. We weren't far off...
Thassa, God of the Sea 2U
Legendary Enchantment Creature -God M
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to blue is less than five, Thassa isn’t a creature. (Each {oU} in the mana costs of permanents you control adds to your devotion to blue.)
At the beginning of your upkeep, scry 1. 1U: Target creature you control can’t be blocked this turn.
5/5
If cast early (well, probably most of the time), I see this card as:
Thassa, God of the Sea 2U
Legendary Enchantment -God M
Indestructible
At the beginning of your upkeep, Scry 1. 1U: Target creature you control can’t be blocked this turn.
Ajani's chosen is expensive for a 3/3 and while it does seem very neat, there are not many enchantments to get it going (post rotation). Right now, Rancor is its best buddy, but with searing spear in the format along with Mizzium Mortar is too fragile to spend 4 mana that doesn't do anything either until next turn.
Yeah, Ajani''s Chosen seems overcosted for a 3/3 with a build-around ability but
post rotation is an enchantment theme so we might see some fun synergies with it. Who knows, we might even get Dragon Breath-type of auras that triggers with low-powered creatures.
I disagree -- the UU cost on counterspell makes it a difficult turn 2 play. You can play mana leak in all kinds of decks, but counterspell requires a very heavy blue commitment. CS is much better late game, but the way magic is now if you've gotten to the late game and you're playing counterspell, you probably don't need it to win.
We're talkin about t3 Blightning, t4 cryptic, t5 bituminous, t6 titan, and t7 cruel ultimatum-type of manabases than when counterspell was still legal in standard. If you realy want to play Counterspell, UU is not restrictive all.
I believe that ______ is the worst set ever. On par with the suck of Homelands and or Prophecy. There are many reasons that I hate _____, but I better get the good points out of the way, the few gems in the rough.
*______ is a great mechanic, it's innovative and fun and I hope we see this built up more in _______
*______ I can't believe that they actually tried this, and they pulled it off perfectly!
ok, now to the bad
_______ has a terrible story. ______ story is an unoriginal story about A youth that is different from peers around him/her, and this causes him/her to go on a grand journey to save the realm. It's the exact same thing we saw in ______ and _______, it's unoriginal and boring.
_______ rares are terrible. Out of the X rares in this set, only Y are even worth the money you pay for the pack. There are no Chase rares worth pulling in this set at all (except there are, I'm just ignoring _______ and _______for my argument, because they actually suck)
_______ doesn't do (theme) good enough. _____ tries to pull of building around ______ in a way that ______ has, but fails to be different enough/isn't powerful enough/is too far away from ______. Building our decks for us around ______ is stupid.
_______ makes control/aggro/combo stupid good! this sets theme _____ makes control/aggro/combo ridiculously good! I can't believe Wizards would do something like that and hose _____ while making _____ so good.
_______ makes _____ color (usually green or blue in that blank) suck/too good. _____ has already been stupid/not had enough support since day one! why they would give/take away _____ power like this is stupid.
Thesekinds of thread(s) comes up whenever a new core set/expansion is to be released. It's a normal occurence. In fact, its so normal that I'd be dissapointed if one doesnt appear.
I like M14 just as I liked M11. There are some underwhelming cards so far but overall, it still feels above average compared to M10 (and M10 contains Lightning Bolt and Baneslayer!)
Lets say I have the Strionic Resonator in play, then I cast Elite Arcanist and putting its ETB ability in the stack. I activated the Resonator to copy the ETB effect.
My questions:
1. Do I get to remove two Instant cards?
2. Which of the cards do I get to play if I activated the Arcanist's ability?
We still have Crime // Punishment in modern, and Pernicious Deed[/CARD] doesn't hit PWs so, I guess this is a fine card on its own. I like it as a 3-cost answer to all tokens in play so this one is a thumbs up for me.

Unfortunately....
Yes.
-Strionic Resonator
-Elite Arcanist

Yep.
Detention Sphere and other butcher-effects just got a boost. Heck, even Storm and Cascade got some boost! lol
It's 93 (comparing the the "™ & 2013" at the bottom left part of the card)
edit: Definitely 93. Name and Number Crunch: 94 is Deathgaze Cockatrice and that 93/249 confirms it.
I like this Idea. Keep the cost, keep the same abilities (pseudo convoke, token damage prevention) , make her body a 3/4 at least and it'd be sweet.
