those rot farms are in the SB for verdict decks or counter heavy decks. its not a super impressive creature. but it is reliable and a decent clock to get thing started after a sweep. if it could block it would be awesome tech vs sire of insanity as well.. sadly it cant but its still not a bad card to sb in aginst sire. since its at least a 4 power threat.
and im not that concerned with getting the chant, its not like the deck relys on it what so ever.
hey finally a post lol
what do you mean more control? i feel like i have plenty of control
plus the deck is still very flexable.. like i said there is still 8 cards missing.. thats 2 whole playsets of something. or a mix of awesome stuff..
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Watery Grave
4 Breeding Pool
3 Putrefy
1 Abrupt Decay
2 AEtherling
3 Far // Away
1 Deadbridge Chant
4 Forest
2 Swamp
2 Island
3 Thragtusk
2 Syncopate
1 Snapcaster Mage
2 Acidic Slime
2 Borderland Ranger
1 Rapid Hybridization
3 Drowned Catacomb
1 Alchemist's Refuge
1 Garruk, Primal Hunter
2 Think Twice
SB: 2 Gaze of Granite
SB: 3 Negate
SB: 2 Rot Farm Skeleton
SB: 2 Acidic Slime
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
this is the deck I want to play for standard.
its missing 8 cards main and 3 cards SB, im not sure how I want to finish it off.
its basically a rock style deck that adds blue for aetherling and a little extra umph with think twice and some counterspells.
i wont bother with a big write up since ive done zero play testing.
im just looking for suggestions or questions about the deck.
wouldnt one or more of the designers have to play test this card?
and they all gave it the green light.. wow, makes ya wonder what kinda fools we got working for us over there at wotc
really only usefull vs a deck that plays multiple small spells.
i also dont like the fact that because this is the "oooo aahhh" counterspell of the set.. there probly wont be a decent 2 cmc counter.
if we both have ZERO creatures.. i dont get any right?
+ exile an instant or sorcery card from your hand, ral does damage equal that cards converted mana cost to target creature
- a spell with "target" gets "overloaded"
ulti = you may cast an number of instants and sorcery cards exiled with ral, without paying their mana cost
starting loyalty ??
other then abrupt decay what other green cards might be worth running?
thing you might wanna cut..
things you might wanna add...
removal
creature protection or counterspells
demonlord is really strong. the undying is huge.
and because of Moorland Haunt, Lingering Souls and Bloodline Keeper casting him should never be a problem. (I would like to go to x3 honestly)
4/4 bob is meh. even though this deck has plenty of life gain.., its still not wise to give your opponent extra cards. its def. a grind deck. play creatures and attack. you dont want your opponent drawing more fuel. Bloodline Keeper
and Demonlord of Ashmouth are both better.
Cloudfin Raptor is really the only good flying 1 drop the deck can run. delver wouldnt fit. and jaces phantom dont really cut it. he does evolve pretty fast in this deck and can usually be as big or bigger then a delver.
turn 2 should be the turn you drop winds, unfortunatly there is no good 2 drop flyers right now.
turn 3 and 4 are very clogged in this deck., but anything you do drop is going to be very strong and will be putting a lot of pressure on your opponent. anything that dies in the process gets recycled with moorland haunt. its just a endless supply of flyers attacking your opponent of various colors and sizes
1 Vault of the Archangel
2 Bloodline Keeper
2 Demonlord of Ashmouth
2 Feeling of Dread
2 Hallowed Fountain
2 Ultimate Price
2 Unsummon
2 Watery Grave
3 Lyev Skyknight
3 Moorland Haunt
3 Restoration Angel
3 Vampire Nighthawk
4 Azorius Charm
4 Cloudfin Raptor
4 Drowned Catacomb
4 Favorable Winds
4 Glacial Fortress
4 Godless Shrine
4 Isolated Chapel
4 Lingering Souls
SB: 1 Dungeon Geists
SB: 3 Fog Bank
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
SB: 4 Beckon Apparition
SB: 4 Judge's Familiar
