There is no difference, you can only pay for the ability once. Your opponent cheated. I'm not sure if you need a more technical clarification,, but that should be clear.
Cheating is a very serious offense, so an off-the-cuff remark that somebody was "cheating" when it's just as likely that they made an innocent mistake is highly inappropriate. -Carsten
Great Wall would probably be a better choice if they were afraid of plainswalkers being OP. It comes down much earlier, and a 4/3 body for an extra 1GW isn't that spectacular. Especially since it dies to bolt.
Edit: Seriously though I find a pithing needle reprint highly likely, frankly I expected to see it in M11 but maybe Wizards decided naming a card was too advanced for a core set? Idk.
Dormant Gomazoa that bad? I can see this having some potential. Distortion strike means he'll attack early and unblockable, twice. Similarly with Emerge Unscathed.
I don't think you read the card, Dormant Gomazoa untaps whenever YOU become the target of a spell...
Hedron Matrix
Repay in Kind
Near Death Experience
Dormant Gomazoa
Keening Stone (mostly because I don't like mill)
Taraju Preserver is pretty awesome. Gatekeeper of MalakirFleshbag Marauder are both sac effects in standard right now.
Lord of shatterskullpass is a 6/6 on turn 5, which is better then all of these cards imo.
I was under the impression that mortician's beetle was a common for some reason...
A permanent is removed from combat if it leaves the battlefield, if its controller changes, if an effect specifically removes it from combat, if it’s a planeswalker that’s being attacked and stops being a planeswalker, or if it’s an attacking or blocking creature that regenerates (see rule 701.11) or stops being a creature. A creature that’s removed from combat stops being an attacking, blocking, blocked, and/or unblocked creature. A planeswalker that’s removed from combat stops being attacked
Since this doesn't fall into one of those events, it's still a blocking creature.
Edit: 'nathed, hopefully rules reference is still helpful
Edit #2: Note what Archonoid said is not technically true, since there are cases where creatures may be removed from combat.
Doesn't this card also stop Naya from equipping? I play Naya and I could care less if my mana dorks didn't tap for mana after turn 4 because by that point a BoP is just a chump blocker and a Hierarch is just an exalted trigger, but equipping is something I don't usually even think about UNTIL turn 4 at the earliest.
Equip is an activated ability of the equipment, since this stops creatures activated abilities I would say no.
Woah, just realised that Through the Breach has splice. Yeah Desperate Ritual would be really good in the deck. With Desperate ritual can you cast it, then use the mana it produces to splice Through the Breach onto it? I don't think so, but I'm not sure.
No, you have to splice as you cast the arcane spell.
With cards like consume the meek, kozilek's inquisition, and not of this world it seems like wizard's is trying to help protect big mana cards. I find something that nerfs big mana effects unlikely in any form.
I can't find a specific yes or no for this, due to my inability to understand complex situations. So if someone has a yes or no to this, that would be amazing.
Does the effect of a rebounded card trigger when it first resolves, and on the next upkeep, or only on the next upkeep?
Assuming i understand your question correctly, when it resolves the first time everything written on the card happens, then it gets exiled. If you recast it next upkeep everything written on the card again. Otherwise these cards would be extremely bad...
At least part of this is right! And yes, reading posts is a good idea. I don't want this to go 30 pages.
I noticed Harbringer doesn't really mention anything that matches my last guess about fetches, so now i'm thinking eldrazi removal spell/distruption spell...
Beyond that what could possibly be worth 7?
Not a creature?
Fetches fatties?
That seems to make sense.
Good sense.
What with the loving big creatures and not liking Baneslayer.
I wish other people were actually reading these posts...
Harbinger is guessing at about 7 different cards, but he's the only person to have a correct element beyond CC or rarity (though all rarities have been guessed, except non-mythic rare).
Obviously not the common eldrazi maro hinted at then...
So that means probably uncommon, and not a 7/7...

You can swerve spreading seas, but oring doesn't target anything. It has a triggered ability that targets and thus cannot not be swerved.

Really Lame Mythic 7
Tribal Instant - Eldrazi
Counter target creature spell.
If that creature had 7 toughness or more that player loses the game.
Seems really farfetched...
Edit: O wait that was just the bottom of the page... And here i thought we were stuck on 80 posts ...
