You need to cast Mirrorweave before you attack since Annihilator only triggers when the creature attacks. Same reason why Eldrazi Conscription doesn't trigger when you fetch it with Sovereigns of Lost Alara: the creature has already attacked.
Well I guess I can't be sneaky about it. Alright thank you for answering promptly to my question. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Scenario: I have It that Betrays and a 4 of Eldrazi 0/1 spawn tokens. I attack with all of them and my big Eldrazi gets chumped block while the tokens don't get blocked. I cast Mirrorweave on It that Betrays during the Declare Blockers Step. My following questions are...
1) Will Annihilator "proc" on the Eldrazi spawn tokens since the become a copy of It That Betrays? Thus netting Annihilator 6 on them from all of them?
2) Will my original It That Betrays be destroyed as the creature it was chump blocked also becomes a copy?
3) If number #1 isn't legal at that point, I would assume I would have to do it the Declare Attackers step so that Annihilator can effectively go off?
Your friend is correct. He will have the opportunity to cast shock before your charm resolves while his mountains are still mountains.
I am not sure I understand your second question. What version of tis card is an equipment?
I meant versus equipment. I apologize for the typo. If an equipment is attached to a creature and I cause it to phase out, will the equipment be still on the creature?
Vision Charm I want to use it's ability to turn lands into other basic land types for a bootleg silence. But I got into an argument with a friend about this saying that he can still tap his lands for mana while they are still the lands he wants. For example at the beginning of his upkeep I use Vision Charm and name all Mountain into Island. He says he can still Shock me before they turn into Island by tapping it for red mana?
Also another clarification is this card versus equipment. If I cause the equipment to phase out if it's on a creature, will it return on the equipped creature or will it fall off when it returns?
Ah alright. I guess then the only way would be Eldrazi Eldrazi... as ridiculous as that sounds
How silly... "Oh I change it from Eldrazi Spawn to Eldrazi Eldrazi with Artificial Evolution." I guess it may be more trouble than it's worth but it is nice to have it boost every Eldrazi I own! Thank you Kyoku, CarstenHaese, and Jiyor for answering my silly questions! Have a good night.
"Eldrazi Spawn" is not a creature type. If a creature has both then it is "Eldrazi" type and "Spawn" type, not a singular "Eldrazi Spawn" type. So Artificial Evolution wouldn't help you since you can only change one instance of a creature type.
So then what can I technically change? So I would have to choose either something dumb like "eldrazi turtle" or "merfolk spawn" would be the only instances of chance it? I guess changing it to "Eldrazi Eldrazi" wouldn't work either? Excuse the stupid questions. =X
I had another question that was asked with Conspiracy saying that I can only name one creature type so I can't change a creature type from Merfolk Wizard to Merfolk Scout. How does this act with the Eldrazi types?
There are Eldrazi Drones, Eldrazi Spawns and Eldrazi. The only thing that I can see is that I can change Broodwarden from Eldrazi Spawn to just plain Eldrazi with Artificial Evolution. Would that mean that anything with the word Eldrazi can get his bonus?
I cannot say "Eldrazi Spawn" as another way when I use the other two cards? As was the case with Conspiracy. Thank you for answering this.
What was said already is correct. Also that is a pretty amusing way to wipe out his board completely.
Yes I figured I wiped his entire board minus a couple of nonbasics until he disputed that they were indestructible. I still won the match by other means but it would have ended a lot faster.
I find him great. The only time that it kinda gets slowed down alot if by other token spam decks because u dont get the creature/land/whatever. I find him better than Ulamog's Crusher.
My friend argues that his creatures/lands are indestructible through Life and Limb and Terra Eternal with [card]gaea's anthem[/card. So all his dudes are 2/2.
I play Marsh Causalities targeting him reducing his creatures to 0 toughness. Then I attack with my buffed Eldrazi Tokens with Broodwarden for the win. He says they don't die because they are indestructible? Then he also argued that even if they are 0/0 that they can still chump block my guys?
I think there is a lot of misinformation here... I'm pretty sure I read that reducing a creature's toughness to zero kills them flat right. Despite regeneration or indestructibility.
Giving this deck to someone starting magic is pretty bad way to convince them to play... because they are PRETTY bad. Garruk's has freaking a playset of vanilla elephants and wurms! I would be seriously disappointed with the Nicol Bolas set... you essentially can't do crap after turn 4 and that's if your not mana screwed. I forgot he also has that piece of crap artifact twig that searches for a land and puts it in your hand with a tap ability...
The very least they can put a planeswalker in said set so it's not that much of a waste of money.
magus of the moat and gravity well. I was arguing with a friend with the interactions between the two cards. He tells me it creates a hardlock because it causes creatures to lose flying when it attacks.
But I'm arguing that if a creature originally had flying it can still attack, it just won't have flying thus negating Magus's ability but still can attack?
Jut to be clear this isn't a matter of speed... Magic doesn't have speeds. It has restrictions and permissions. You can't respond to costs, which is why you can't play an instant or activate abilities in response to Carnage Alter... not because sacrificing is faster...
This is true of all costs.
Excuse my ignorance but what about when it comes to cards such as trickbind, voidslime, and bind? For example. My opponent wants to use Vampire Hexmage ability to instantly gank my planeswalker. Can I not use one of those cards to prevent the ability from going off and making my opponent sac the creature for nothing?
A weakened version of aether vial? I got nothing... lol
