Good idea with Ludvic's, in testing I've gotten him flipped on turn 5 a few times. I could probably remove borderland ranger since I already have Gatecreaper Vine to fetch for lands.
That gain X life and draw X cards card would probably be good since this deck runs out of steam really quick, in testing I am normally in topdeck mode by turn 5 or 6.
I might also want to up the Door to Nothingness count since I have seen it yet in testing lol.
You can also win by milling people by having a bunch of walls in play with Doorkeeper and generating tons of mana for Mindshrieker.
Speaking of tons of mana, I put in a Devil's Play which can be used to burn people out.
So what do you guys think? Should I throw in some counter magic to stall until I get my combo in place? How about Galvanic Alchemist to get infinite mana? Or should I just go straight up mill with Increasing Confusion?
Now, I would love to see a Thalia PW card, but it would create a whole set of rule problems. Like how can Thalia the legendary creature and Thalia the PW be on the battlefield at the same time?
(T: Place the top three cards of your library into your graveyard. Add to your mana pool one mana of any color contained in the converted mana costs of those cards.)
I dont think they would print that, it would make legacy dredge sooooooo much more consistent.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may transform ~

Tap - add B to your mana pool

This way, you can fetch for it, it doesn't matter which side its played on, and you only get one color at a time so its not OP, you just have to choose before you get to draw which color you want.
Now because I thought of this, they are not going to print it. Sad face.
Draw three cards. At the beginning of your end step put two cards at the bottom of your library. Waaaay to good, best turn 1 spell ever
"Deliberate Planning" U
Sorcery
Reveal the top five cards of your library, then put them on the top or the bottom of your library in any order. Draw three Cards. Ancestral Recall with a filter, if it wasn't for being a Sorcery this would be better, but it's still really way to good
"Wall of Knowledge" U
Creature - Wall
Defender, Flash
Draw 3 cards. Wall of Knowledge's power is equal to the number of cards in your hand.
*/1 Ancestral Recall with a blocker that will be able to at least take out anything with 3 toughness, possibly(probably) more. Where's the drawback?
"Rising Current" U
Sorcery, Instant
As an additional cost sacrifice a creature with Defender. Draw three cards. This. I can totally see this being printed. Great in limited and possible use in constructed if they print enough good walls to go with it. Also it would not get the automatic ban-hammer in legacy/vintage, which i can't say about any of the other cards you suggested.
well first of all lotus petal definitely helps with the acceleration and just some islands would be good so you dont get mana screwed by wasteland. i would take out the mystical tutor and the ancient spring and add 3x lotus petal and 3x island.
oh and thoughtseize > cabal therapy especially when you only have 1 creature in the deck to pay for it's flashback and that creature is progenitus
i kinda built a deck like this too, ill post the list later but you really want creatures that have good comes into play abilities. woodfall primus is a great card for this deck. then maybe some reanimation to bring the creatures back. i personally like living death.
I know the decklist is tight but no one has tested Aven Mimeomancer as a 2/3 of somewhere?
All the 1/1 Dorks and Ninjas look like they could really do with the evasion and pump.
And yes, this is the second time I have mentioned it....
hmm i like what you thinking, but im not sure what to take out to put in the Aven Mimeomancers. maybe higure but thats about it.
EDIT: Yea i just realized you'd have to splash in white for Aven Mimeomancer so i really wouldnt mess up the entire mana base for one card. except tarmagoyf

4 Doorkeeper
4 Fog Bank
4 Gatecreeper Vine
4 Hover Barrier
2 Tree of Redemption
4 Arbor Elf
3 Borderland Ranger
2 Mindshrieker
4 Chromatic Lantern
1 Devil's Play
11 Forest
8 Island
1 Mountain
2 Alchemist's Refuge
The main way to win with this deck would be to ramp/color fix with Axebane Guardian and Chromatic Lantern, flash in Door to Nothingness with Alchemist's Refuge and then win on your turn.
You can also win by milling people by having a bunch of walls in play with Doorkeeper and generating tons of mana for Mindshrieker.

Turn 1) Durdle
Turn 2) Honor of the Pure
Turn 3) Ghostly Prison
Turn 4) Springjack Shepherd
Turn 5) Cathar's Crusade
Turn 6) Flickerwisp targeting the shepherd
Turn 7) Profit!
