Since this was the 4th tournament I have went since I created my account at the mpr, I decided to check it out (since I plan to go to the Shadowmoor release), just to find out that the Prerelease on Valparaiso, Chile did not get sent to the DCI for the following sets: Ravnica, Time Spiral and Lorwyn (I only go to big sets prereleases).
This really makes me sad and make me not want to go anymore.
God I was going to post how the Searblades was boring since it was never going to be more than 3/4 or 4/4 and then read Singer's post. Firebreathing will be effectively doubled. Not that I think it will be constructed material but my kitchen table will be happy.
Yes. You do not sell product before the release date except for pre-re events, and if WOTC find out then you don't sell product again. Period.
I wish that was true in here, the guy that makes the prerreleases where I live (Valparaiso, Chile) is selling the PC products right now, and I have even emailed them to tell them about it, but they don't really care.
Even thought I haven't read any novel, I have the impression that the ravnica block will end together with the guildpact, thus ending the ten guild and oppening a lot of space if they wish to revisit the plane.....
Then there is the chance that we get something like ColdSnap that would throw in all the guilds and improve the keywords.
I think they’re taking the Spirit creature type too far. I’m very leery of an Artifact Creature—Spirit because an artifact should be the one thing without a soul. Two cards is enough. I’ve also always seen an Elemental and Spirit as very distinct ideas, so it’s a shame they combined them on Subterranean Spirit.
IIRC when MaRo talked about consolidating the creatures types he said that it was very stupid for Goblin Wizard to not be a wizard, so I think that it's because it had spirit on it's name only
Too late for an answer, but as nobody did realize it, the "Champions may have been called Saviors first" theory should be screwed, since the mockups said set 3 of 3 of the kami block............
I did see 5 winning because it was the most voted on the poll anyway, but the thing I also saw was that it was also the most hated card, while most of the people that didn't have number (insert anything other than 5 here) didn't say anything against them...............
Anyway, that and 4 were the only ones that could really fit into a magic card, the others would have looked too out of place, except maybe 9, IMHO..........
I figure that in Betrayers we get the alterative costed Splices and in Saviors the humans get there own magic to fight back and "save" with. Like above Splice into Human Magic, any speculation on what that mafic would be called?
I think that the normal magic would be spliced into the arcane and appear in BoK, as all the betrayers are humans going to spirit (it is that way, right??)...........
The other twist that I have thought of is to have spells that can only be played spliced, but that would be a rules nightmare, because it wouldn't have a mana cost to be played the way I think........... Or maybe something like spells that can only be played if you splice something into it......
This really makes me sad and make me not want to go anymore.
Thank you charlequin for the spoils.

Wurm lovers like me love it anyway.
