    All I know is that Assassinate turns any creature into a burn spell, and I hear lots of the bombs are big bastards that Strangling Soot can't touch.

    My inclination (after giving it admittedly fairly little thought) is this:

    That's...insane. A card is good because it's innovative and flavorful, even though it would break the hell out of the game if it were ever played?

    Meh, I'm done here. If I knew people just wanted broken crap, I would have made:

    ThisIsTheWin 0 mana
    Instant
    You win the game.
    ThisIsTheWin can't be countered by spells or abilities.
    If ThisIsTheWin is in your library, you may search your library for it and put it into your hand.

    Wow. Morsetlis' card got a bajillion votes, and it's broken as all hell. A 4/4 flying creature with protection for 3 mana that can prevent your opponent from playing spells for a long time, if ever.

    Explain to me why Drifter is bad? It's a 2/1 for blue mana that's usually unblockable. And while I realize that running two was a bit rough on my mana curve, one seems like it would have been a good idea.

    My second opponent's blue was actually pretty interesting. He had Ith, High Arcanist (though I used Wipe Away to return it to his hand when it came into play from being suspended), two...um, whatchacallems...Riftwing Cloudskates? 2/2 flying for :3mana::symu::symu: with suspend, that bounces a permanent when it comes onto play. And a couple of other cards I don't remember (and that were of little consequence). His white was absolutely brutal, though.

    I was kinda tempted to vote for Mad Mat's card, but Visara was never about sacrificing. She was always about, "I see this creature. I shoot him in the head. NEXT!" Direct creature removal vs. 'you choose'.

    Whenever enchanted creature attacks alone, it gains double strike and trample until end of turn.
    At end of turn, sacrifice enchanted creature.

    Sometimes, a lone warrior can succeed where an army would fail.

    So, what do you think? Should I have splashed white for the Criers? (I didn't because of all of the double-CC stuff.) Should I have splashed green for Wurmcalling? (I didn't because I need :symg::symg: to buy it back, and otherwise...it's good, but not great.) Should I have played Coral Trickster or Temporal Eddy over any of my other cards? The second Careful Consideration? The Mirari?

    I won 2-0 in my first match, but went 1-2 in the second because I misread Outrider En-Kor.

    A paladin's lifestyle is rigid, limiting, and difficult to follow - but for those who do so, the spiritual rewards are well worth the effort.

    Yes, it's a lot like Soothsaying. I ADORE Soothsaying, but even I have to admit, it's just too damn good. This is a reuseable Index (almost) with the ability to mix things up.

    Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and "Whenever equipped creature would deal combat damage to a creature, instead put that many -1/-1 counters on that creature. Whenever equipped creature would deal combat damage to a player, instead that player loses that much life."

    azorzhov, this is for creature types. An acceptable card would have to have been a creature, like this:

    Warped Dead :symr::symb:
    Creature - Zombie Horror
    When Warped Dead comes into play, flip a coin. If you win the flip, put a +1/+1 counter on ~. Otherwise, put a -1/-1 counter on ~.

    Here, let me put your card into terminology that would be used in this millenium:

    Status Quo :1mana::symw::symw:
    Enchantment
    Whenever a creature comes into play, the next time it would gain haste this turn, it doesn't.

    ...of course, this card doesn't do anything to creatures that inherently have haste (since they don't gain haste, they have haste), meaning your enchantment involves spending three mana on a card that will almost never do anything.

    ...and WE'RE the ones who don't know what we're doing. Right.
