After all discussions and comments people from my local group i decided drop some 1 mana creatures. And now play without them.
For this options was some facts:
- we do not like very aggro matches for 1-2 minutes
- we like interesting strategy in each of the matches
2. What do u think... what cards u recommended to drop from multicolored slots? And maybe more Strong in?
Thanks for comments
Sorry, just saw this.
Personally, I'm not a fan of cutting aggro. (This is both as a cube manager, for balance purposes, and a drafter who loves attacking for 2.) It throws off the whole dynamic of the cube. Good aggro is the best thing to keep control in line. Without that, I think you're going to see control decks dominate. And if that's what your group wants, go for it. But it would not be my preference.
I had it in my reject rare cube, which supports zombies in black. It recently got the boot for Liliana's Mastery. You still get 2 zombies at 5 mana, but you trade the -2/-2 for a +1/+1 to all your zombies (and one more B in the casting cost). You lose the scalability too, but Dark Salvation almost always got cast for 4B, so I made the swap.
The power and versatility in what it can steal are great. The drawback is concerning. Obviously, the more mana rocks and/or mana dorks you have out, the better this gets. And you (hopefully) plan a land on your next turn, so you could still have 2-3 mana up with the right configuration. I'm intrigued enough to test this but my initial guess is that it will miss the cut.
I think it needs another relevant combat ability to get there. The evasion is OK, and better in 4/4 form, but haste and a generic 2/1 body isn't very exciting. I may give this a try, but I don't expect it to catch on.
Whichever one you want your opponent to do, they potentially have two outs. I wonder what the average value of X where you finally get the "mode" you want is?
It's a fun card with neat art. I might try it in the reject rare cube, but that's it. Hard pass for the Legacy cube.
Definitely worth a trial run. Getting a 4/4 with double strike can just win some games outright. Sure, tokens are vulnerable, but if your opponent lacks an answer, it won't matter for long.
I've never had a pet bird. My daughter, however, loves birds, so it may be something we consider later. For now, she's happy going to a zoo where they have about 30 peacocks wandering about the place.
I run Pithing Needle and Phyrexian Revoker. Both are good, but Revoker tends to make more maindecks. Needle is a solid sideboard option, though, and doesn't suffer from the vulnerability of being a 1-toughness creature.
But at least now we know where the Horn of Ramos (and other sundry parts he lost) comes from!

Yes. Yes, you can. Excellent call.
