Last Gasp - the new Smother, at least for Standard
Farseek - everybody likes multicolor
Recollect - not much hype for this, but I like it in some potential Extended combo decks
Boros Swiftblade - dangerous with Umezawa's Jitte and Blazing Shoal in Standard
Hunted creatures - the red one is probably the best of these for Standard. The black and blue ones might work in Extended (they're cheap and there are plenty of ways to handle the tokens in Extended)
Shadow of Doubt - could be a major pain in Extended
Signets - accelerate/fix mana and let you go crazy with splashes, especially with Terrarion in the mix. Lightning Helix and Putrefy might be good enough to splash in a lot of decks.
Moonlight Bargain will probably be a good card, but I'm a bit worried about aggro decks being too fast for it, just like they were for Promise of Power. Yes, I know Promise of Power is substantially slower, but there's definitely a risk here. Circu, Plague Boiler, and random Convoke cards look cool, but I'll be surprised if they see any serious play.

No, it's because some people don't jump to conclusions as quickly as others.
There's any number of reasons why an image might be called "Hypnotic Specter" on his website - it might just be based on the original Hypnotic Specter image that will end up on another card, it might be just be a neat image that they won't use on any card or keep around for some promotion. It could be Mr. Staples pulling your leg.
I'd say any of those are at least as likely as that art actually becoming a 9th edition Hypnotic Specter.
This is an interesting card, but limited bomb? No way. It's probably barely playable at best. You should have much better things to spend all that mana on in the midgame.
