The Abyss borders on uncuttable status for me due to the aesthetics and overall "cool-factor" alone.
That said, it's a pretty costly build-around card so I can see why some cube managers might choose to exclude it. In addition, it's an amazing support tool for the Superfriends decks that many people seem to dislike.
This card interests me as well. The ability rewards heavy-green builds and worth noting there are already two very solid cube staple Oozes - Acidic Slime and Scavenging Ooze. Experiment One is also an Ooze, for those of us running green aggro.
Seems at minimum testable though I'm not sure what it would push out.
It took quite a lot of statistics to get the point across to my playgroup as well: being easy to cast on-curve is 90% of what matters with the Mystic Snake card 'archetype', and going from 2 to 3 power is usually irrelevant.
... And to be frank, I'm of the opinion that even Snake is bordering on too difficult to cast these days. Still haven't seen anything crazy to push it out in this set though.
IMO, this card is only "over the top" in Standard because of the ability to chain an end-of-opponent's-turn March into another one on your turn. Without multiple copies in Cube to enable that line, it just doesn't interest me much.
I played Increasing Devotion for at least a year while my cube was still in its infancy and missing better cards. It was solid but IMO it doesn't really compete with the top ~70-80 white cube cards on power level. If I were at 720+ cards or playing a "tier two" or flashback cube or something, would give it some consideration there. One of the biggest strikes against Increasing Devotion nowadays is the printing of two more superb white 5-drops in Lyra Dawnbringer and Angel of Invention.
Also agree with TheGroglord re: Increasing Confusion. That card actually makes for a pretty reasonable singleton mill subtheme if you're dead set on including something of the sort. I don't play it anymore but wouldn't fault others for doing so, even in smaller and more powerful cubes.
Bestiary can be strong when the rest of your green creature-based midrange deck can be weak. It shines against control, and in long grindy games, it can represent a lot of value. It's better than it looks.
Hmm. What size do you think you would consider playing it? I may have to get one to test.
Now we're not talking about fun and enjoyable stuff, we're talking about the stress/aggression that he vented for no reason. He's acting like I was ordering him to do something and not simply trying to strum up a conversation about it. Cya.
You are projecting super hard. Wtwlf's response read perfectly neutrally to me, a disinterested observer. On the other hand, this seems like a very jerkish thing to say.
On-topic: I personally love Eternal Dragon as well! It's perhaps a bit past its prime for the tightest of lists, but it still has a lot of value even without the original Plains dual lands in my cube. It's also a highly inevitable threat in Control v. Control matchups. Recurring 5/5 flying Dragons are still pretty reasonable, despite the creature power creep of the past ~15 years. And the original art is fantastic
Tatyova's actual on-board effect is very good, and so she's usually a must-remove target when she comes down.
...Unfortunately, it's easy to do so. This card's lackluster body and lack of any relevant abilities mean that she dies to almost everything. Not a place you want your value engine to be. Ironically, this might have been more interesting as an enchantment with no body whatsoever. Alternatively, if she had a 4th point of toughness I'd be much happier to play her. As-is, she's just way too fragile for most cube environments IMO.
Decent engine, but she’s very low impact for a 5-drop. Dying to Bolt and failing then Vindicate test on curve makes her a tough sell for high powered cubes.
I really want to like Tatyova for cube but this perfectly summarizes why I haven't yet given her a shot. Seems like she'd be fine at a large enough size though, 720 cards or more? If she only had a 4th point of toughness, card would be very good.
Cool, thanks for diving a bit deeper! Definitely gonna have to try out Brawler as well. My cube isn't exactly based on yours but I've found lots of inspiration there over the years.
Interesting, so Bloodrage Brawler was on my radar for a while but I never got around to testing it in cube. Did the fact that it's a in-color 2-drop Warrior for Najeela push it over the top?
Also cool to see Nezumi Graverobber come back Care to share a few thoughts on what led to it beating out Graveyard Marshal for you? (I'm guessing that the BB casting cost was one.)

I see the appeal of the Draw-7 combo deck though, interested to see how that plays out for you!

Pick two cards from the below list that you would cut when adding Selfless Spirit and Remorseful Cleric:
For reference, the rest of my "top-tier" white 2-drops:
