That B/R Discard/Burn deck was pretty heavy on cards like Waste Not, maybe some hybrid of Discard/Burn & 8Rack could be good. Link to the Discard/Burn deck is here http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=404714
Who knows, Waste Not combos with a lot of stuff (any draw & discard effects/Wheel of Fortune style cards - and there are a LOT of those in MTG, just that most aren't good enough to see play)
Are any of the others actually good? As much as I love Magic, I sometimes get bored of it, but I never get bored of CCG's in general, so let's post our lists and thoughts of other card games we've played, i.e. recommendations for other players.
Pokemon Trading Card Game for GameBoy - Both games feel just like Magic. There's booster packs, promo cards, in-game currency, and so forth. There's also a Pokemon equivalent of Stompy lands!
Monster Rancher for GameBoy- You basically choose three commanders and each card in your deck is an attack, defense or special card for one of those commanders. There's dungeons, too.
Infinity Wars for Windows and Mac - Take EDH and switch it where you can have three commanders, and you have Infinity Wars. Free-to-play, earn some XP and you get free boosters. It's in beta, but if anyone wants an invite just PM me.
I've played a lot of others like Yugioh (various DS games and Duelists of the Roses for PS2), Mage Knights (DS) and ShadowEra, but not too much fun there IMO.
4 Raven's Crime definitely seems like too many. 2 or 3 is fine. I'm surprised at the lack of Wrench Mind. Granted against some decks, it's awful, but pretty frequently it's a 2-for-1 on turn 2. Could even fit into the SB for that reason.
Take a page from that Kangaroo thread and run 4x Primeval Titan, 1x Slayers' Stronghold, 1x Boros Garrison, and 4x green Pact spells. With Amulet out, you drop Primetime or Pact->Primetime, then grab both those lands- giving you an 8/6 with haste and trample and 4 lands.
For the pact build, run more pacts and run the colors to actually pay for it. You could run 3-4x green pacts and 1x Primeval Titan to tutor it and win the old fashion way, or just Hive-Pact it.
If you want to abuse planeswalkers, you should use mostly the ones that protect themselves - any Garruk, Liliana 2.0 or even 3.0, Sorin 2.0, Elspeth, etc. But not 5-mana Liliana, 3-mana Jace or 6 mana Sorin.
In a "fairly experienced" meta that you mentioned, this deck probably won't hold up. Your best bet is to make a variation of one of the already-established decks. (Doran.dec + Glissa sounds good!) Unless by "fairly experienced," you just mean you have a few buddies who play modern casually, though
Too top-heavy. You can start by cutting Revelation and going for +2 Mana Leak. I'd probably fit in another Path too, you want a good amount of things to Snap back after all.

Post the TCG's you've played!
Shadowmage Infiltrator and Dark Confidant are both plain better than that card, at least in Modern.
