The End of an Era

Ugh, magic tournaments abound this weekend. That plus my Labor Day family cookout has held me up. Still, after much thinking, I've come to a pretty solid conclusion.

    Quote from Zebi
I still think he is scum, and still would like to see him lynched. I just unvoted because it's glaringly obvious that people have more to say today, and would not to have liked to see him lynched yet.

    Also, as per the request:

    Scum
    AI
    Keifru
    Falkonn
    Top3
    Tacky
    AE
    Town

    Kpaca is a neutral obviously.

That's pretty much it, with the top two being more solid than the rest of the list.

    Also,

Feel free to not believe me, but when I wake up in the morning, I quickly go on my iPod and browse. I saw there was new posts in Goo, so I reviewed them. Posting on an iPod is no fun, so here I am.

This is just another in a series of Zebi posts that convinces me that he's scummy.

His "Glaringly Obvious" reason for unvoting because of the town wanting more discussion was glaringly obvious when he first voted. His vote looked like an attempt at a scum mislynch in the first place. Now he's backpedaling hard by pandering to the town.

He's also sold on Kpaca, completely unconcerned with Kpaca's attempt to reason with scum. I'm about 80% sure that Kpaca is neutral but on the off chance that he's actually scum, this post is Zebi covering for him.

Concerning AI - His implosion was scummy at first, but I soon realized that he has a tendancy to implode as town. His quick recovery and arguments with Zebi were a large and quick improvement from his flailsauce. AI's town meta has shown brightly in these past few pages.

Zebi, on the other hand, has not shown as bright. His overall meta is lurky. Moot point. However, the quick jump out of meta into a lynch scenario in the endgame is proof enough. His activity has kept up ever since he jumped onto and then off of the AI wagon. I believe this to be because the scum are suddenly in a tight spot, and going back to lurk mode in the middle of this argument would surely end the scum.

The Kpaca situation had confused me for a while. I was going over and over why AE was still pushing a Kpaca neutral lynch, but Kpaca has proven himself worthy of such specualtion. I don't advocate lynching Kpaca today, probably not even tomorrow, but in the hunt for the last scum, Kpaca is a solid option.

Kpaca also got in my way of though, and once I was able to take a bit of a (forced) break, I can see this as a fairly simple scenario. The last three scum are on the AI wagon. It's that simple really. I'm not as sure about T3, although his buddying with Keifru is a bad sign. Speaking of Keifru, the man he's replacing was Dancing Mad, a lurker to the max in this game who I had no solid read on because he had so few posts. As for Zebi, I think I've explained my thoughts on him, as he's been lurky/scummy for the entire game. IIRC, he had the last quick vote on PRox, now a confirmed scum. Looks kinda like a quick bus now. I also have a slightly wild theory that Zebi's lurkiness may be a team strategy, with DM/Keifru following suit. That's just guesswork though.

    Town
    TACKY
    AE
    Falkonn
    AI
    Kpaca
    T3
    Keifru
    Zebi
    Scum

T3 and Kpaca are interchangable. Kpaca is pretty much a wild card and T3 has provided content but tied himself to scum pretty well.

Kraj, what do you think the benefit is of voting yourself if you actually are town? There is plenty of time for people to vote you before the deadline, so your reasoning doesn't make sense to me. I also can't see it helping your argument for being town because the only benefit of this I see is you not saying anything to out one of your scumbuddies.

    Vote Kraj

I've had gut Kraj=Town the whole game, and this post looks like opportunism.

/barn on Falkonn coming back and commenting. We need all the analysis we can get right now. Mulling over AI's wallposts. Like what I see so far. It's a vast change from his previous flail.

I understand the suspicion, Cantrip, but I've just been overwhelmed by this game. Red Dwarf didn't really have any activity when I came back from moving and I have been in Goo from the start. This game, I don't think I had any posts before I came back, on top of the fact that it's a fast moving game so far.

That being said, I don't like Kraj wagons. That's about the only conclusion I've reached in my reread so far. It's really an extension from me not liking it before I was prodded.

Seriously, the past several posts by AI have reeked of desperate, caught scum seeking a way out. His flip-flop on AE looks horrible and his trying to justify it looks worse. The OMGUS threat seems like the beginnings of flailing scum and the "OH NO LYLO!" posts read like icing on the Magikarp Cake.

I'm fully planning on voting AI, but AE seems like he doesn't want to rush things. I'm going to reread AI to see if there's anything that will change my mind, but as of now, patience is a virtue. This is a chance for us to catch more scum slipping up. Let's not rush this.

Sorry for not posting, but I feel totally and completely lost in this mess. I've been trying to read and keep up, but my job and my new roommate have been throwing my time into other venues. I know I was pretty gung-ho about Zionite earlier, but he's already said he's swamped, it's too early in the game to lynch over just lurking and his response to my arguments were fairly townie IMO.

    Unvote

I need a reread before I can say anything else. I feel lost in a snowstorm, wading through this thread fighting a blizzards of words and points and not being able to see any single one on its own.

I guess that means I'm up.

I'm Violet goo. I have the permenance ability as well, which is why I found Zebi's claim interesting because, aside from permenance, I can only do the basic poke and that's it, making me and Zebi the same.

Flavor's a bit different though. I'm a goo who cares about my style, basically a fashionista in goo form (SP?). Because I care so much about maintaining and protecting my style, I won't let anyone change it.

N1 I basic poked Axelrod to get the protection but I haven't poked anyone else since then. Thought it was a risky move.

The reason Zebi having the same role intrigued me is because it confirmed a suspicion of mine, specifically that there would be multiple 'permenance goos' because there are multiple color changing goos.

I've been doing some serious thinking over the Kpaca situation, and I think I'll expand a bit more on him and the situation surrounding him tomorrow.

Will post more later today, but IMO, this whole /barnfight of the seppel/tilde/anak etc. peoples is a huge flaming distraction from what we should really be doing, which is catching scum. The Seppel/Kraj thing reads like a town-fight, with the small off chance that Seppel is scum, but I'm doubting it.

What I am sure of is that there some lurking scum that are happy as hell right now. I'ma reread and post more on that issue later today, but not before I sleep some more.

Well, this would be posting to avoid the prod, but I guess now it's posting to wipe the slate clean. I rarely post on the weekend anyway :/

    Will claim after Keifru.

Furthermore, Hrrrrm about Zebi. Just Hrrrm.

If you're talking about him voting nacho, it was weak; but I could see him getting pissed and voting regardless of alignment. In fact I see you mention this one point (not that great) and use lurking as another point (weak point). Yeah he's screaming scum to me [/s]. I dislike this vote alot.

I skimmed the thread; nothing too much stands out; except that Kraj mentioned ~ and DKD reaction to tordeck's claim (flavour and whatnot) but I only really remember Cantrip acting that way (likely because I wasn't half passing out when I read the first part of the thread).

Anyways, now that I'm done playing Lufia II for the first time (shocking, I know, no idea why I didn't play it like a decade ago) I can actually read the thread at normal hours when I wake up later today.

He's been really /barn-y and lurky and hasn't had solid reasoning for much of anything IIRC. He's a solid direction and a player with scummy actions that contradict his Meta of being a solid player.

Unless I'm confused and Zionite is normally a lurky barny fiend, then I think I'm solid.

Wow. This game is like Shrek on steriods and Seppel managed to clone himself and they created other accounts *looks at Tilde and Nacho*

Anyhoo, Kraj is town, Vezok is nonsense but I believe him, Seppel leans town but I'm not sure because he's Seppel, Nom could be better, Ged is town, We shouldn't lynch TorDoc or wait for the CC, Anak looks scummy but what is new and NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETLY DIFFERENT!

    Vote Zionite

Remember that guy? You know, before he started lurking like a fiend? He was pushing a weak wagon with all his might. Go back and look, srsly fr rlz. He's scum.

Per the massclaim, I think the top 3 should be some combination of Kpaca, Zebi and AI. Those are my top suspects right now.

Zebi has had a terrible late vote on the last two wagons. The Flew wagon, which appears to be a quick-mislynch vote and the Powerrox wagon, which reeked of bussing.

AI due to his off-the-wall playstyle in this game, it's been pretty scummy overall. With Talore's death, I can't help but think he might have been on to something.

Kpaca hasn't provided anything to this town that's helpful. His mindset has been squarely against the town all game and he doesn't seem to be changing that position.

After that, the lurkers then the order is whatev.
