Nope, death triggers that result from costs paid go on top of the stack. If you Pod off a Viridian Emissary, you get your land before your 3-drop. If you sac a Horizon Spellbomb, you draw your card before you tutor the land.
bummer. oh well still decent with all the mana dorks and not needing to pod them late game just to get value
I could see this having a use in pod if my understanding is correct.
activate birthing pod sacrificing vorapede(no counters), that is part of the cost of pod so vorapede undying goes on the stack waiting for the pod ability to resolve, search for soul of the harvest and it comes into play, then vorapede comes back along and you get to draw a card?
neat in a deck already running alot of creatures and mana dorks.
For the red lists, has anyone considered Kuldotha Phoenix? 4/4 recurring haste flyer seems quite nice, especially when it then pods into Titans.
Guess the question is metalcraft...and Ancient Grudge...
I've build a list with 2x of KP and its really aggressive, using both Kuldotha and Chandra's Phoenix and I'm having a hard time getting metal craft online when want it online trying to maximize galvanic blast and the Kuldotha Phoenix. I know its potent, its just a matter of finding a better blend of artifact creatures to pair with the POD to allow for both metal craft and potential poding away of an artifact creature
The Only Movie so far About Magic the Gathering
I've been waiting for this movie to be released and although it's not based on the characters of magic it is a movie based on our game. the trailer makes the movie look promising.
Cards like devils play are in there both to help close the gap if all I need is the last few points also allows me to regrow my Chandra's Phoenix's
I felt it was a better option to have them fall into the grave than back in the library which brings me to my next odd ball card
Red Sun's Zenith
The reason there is a single Red Sun's Zenith is because it has a unique and excellent ability to:
Red Sun's Zenith deals X damage to target creature or player. If a creature dealt damage this way would die this turn, exile it instead. Shuffle Red Sun's Zenith into its owner's library.
I feel that undying things sometimes just need to go away.
Edit: the math on the mana base is adding up to good color depth as well as coverage for the colors when a hard cast is really needed. Just thought I might make it ~2 Autumn's Veil in the side board for the control matchups
Right now I am working on many potentially good brews to take to the Sacramento SCG Open in March and any help in nailing down this deck is appreciated.
I want to be able to add it to the collection of decks merriting further testing and getting to a final list. So any Idea's of course are welcome
but I don't think i will be changing the colors.
Price isn't really an object but don't go banana's in a card's recommendation

Garruk R. has been pulling crusader killing duties with perilous myr
garruk kills myr and flips
myr in turn kills mirran crusader
proceed to own aggro decks
feels kinda funny then that I already play GBW and run both Sun Titan and Glissa and ratchet bomb for just such occasions as a crap ton of tokens coming at me.
in Limited I can see drafting U/B with this and Stitcher's Apprentice to keep morbid on every turn and racking up eyeball counters.
Although its dripping with alchemic flavor I have to limit this to EDH and melira/Finks modern combo.

Actually in GRW the mana is pretty solid thats 8 on color dual lands providing Red. and then an additional 4 providing R/W
