I've heard some great things about Coolstuffinc's buy prices. Though, I agree that you should try to sell to players first and foremost. Most people will pay more than the dealers in cash because they'd rather buy from a player than a vendor. I agree that both parties win in that situation.
I've been doing that as much as possible, and made quite a bit from it. And I think I'll hit up CoolStuffInc along CB and SCG. Probably will finish things up with T&T.
I heard ChannelFireball, SCG and Trollandtoad are some good names to go with. Not sure about anyone else, but I'm sure that those three are gonna be at Gen Con.
That's what I'm thinking, too. Anyone think CoolStuffInc is a good choice as well?
I think altering cards is cool, as long as it isn't half-naked chicks or a really expensive card like duals. When you alter commons or uncommons, most of the time you can find someone who is willing to trade for it higher than it's original value. Rares is when you cross the line.
I got first at FNM last night playing a UB Tezz deck, and this card is amazing! I don't doubt that this thing hits 8-10 dollars in the next few months, let alone post-rotation. Also, this card was difficult to find at my FNM too.
Haha, Owned!
I have decided to start my Legacy Career with Deadguy.
I have a few questions:
How important is to run the Stonforge package? If not, can we run a discard package instead, to generate card advantage/quality)?
Also, I see some list run Tidehollow Sculler and some run Gerrard's Verdict? Why not both? or why one over the other?
Also, SB, how good is Chalice @ 1 in Legacy? I believe it is quite good. But, better yet, is Chalice @ 0 vaible.
I am pretty sure I am going to start playing in an under-developed meta aside from a few good players. So what should I look out for? In terms of Sideboarding, decision making and what-not.
Glad to hear that you chose this deck to start your Legacy journey, as I too did the same a few months back.
First off, the Stoneforge package is amazing, as it generates a lot of card advantage, as well as certain protections when grabbing a sword. As for Gerrard's Verdict vs. Tidehollow Sculler, Aether Vial can get Sculler out, as well as you can choose what to get rid of from their hand. Never tried the Chalice in this deck, so I can't tell you how effective it is, and as for sideboarding I recommend asking D3@D. He seems pro at this deck lol

Thanks a ton for the help, everyone!

How competitive are Canadians?
Anyway, I can see MBC become more competitive over time, but this doesn't feel like it's enough proof that it has reached that state yet.
So... What about Tolarian Academy?
Anyway, I can see Jace 1.0 going up in value a little. He's a decent planeswalker that blue can still use.
I'll join ya! With Caw Blade nuked, I wonder if Valakut will become the new dominant deck.
He doesn't need wings. A jetpack, helicopter, or riding on Chuck Norris' back also qualifies for him having flying.
On a side note, since black has this and white has Serra Angel, I wonder if Wizards will spoil green, blue and red too.
