I quite like the banner. And the quotes are well off.

    A dreadful sonnet.

    The Climber’s Prayer

It’s been raining for the past seven months
I haven’t seen a single flash of sun
Peeking through the endless greys, inlaid with
Charcoaled snow and colors dun and faded.
    Water rises, constantly, fervishly,
Sinking every floor, true Atlantis below.
My memories drowned with the family.
Wilderness is abound, no one to know.
I climb eternally for my own sake
Otherwise I die a poisonous fate
For this I pray to the heavens above
To wish for its guidance and good fortune
    I climb eternal, forever more.
    I climb eternal, forever more.

Wherever would you get that idea? You can successfully draft or play u/w or w/g and survive.

That's true. I've won a ZZZ draft on the back of U/G beats and bounce. However, I know what he means. ZZZ and even ZZW are not great drafting formats. It makes me pine for RGD, or even some throwback IPA drafts. Odyssey block was a pretty fun drafting block too.

I was hoping you could make me a banner, with these images:

    On the left: http://www.wegrafik.de/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/justice-portrait.jpg
In the Middle: http://sleevage.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/justice_cross_cover.jpg (just the cross)
    On the right: http://electrocutare.ro/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/justice-coachella1.jpg

I'd also like This Font, and have it say: A Cross the Universe

Whatever size and font color you think will work best is fine with me. Thanks in advance.

Part of me really wants the Expedition Map over the third Torch Slinger. I think we could use the mana fixing as we don't have any yet. But I know there is better fixing, especially in green. Plus I have a feeling we will see a nice pick Pilgrim's Eye in the next pack. Torch Slinger #3 it is.

@Starkiller: Unfortunately it doesn't. But if you are the enterprising type there are plenty of ways you can run a Windows OS on your Mac without Boot Camp. Parallels Desktop, along with a cracked XP or Win7 iso will allow you to run the OS for as few as 5 GB, enough to run MODO and not much else.

It is not a bad thing to have another creature, I just think that it is not that important. We have 12 creatures we want ot play (well if you count Bitterblossom as well) and we have not even opened pack 3.

Now Perfect is a good creature with some nice interaction with Nightmare, but not exactly combotastic because it is a tap ability. We will pick up some more creatures that are as good or better with the Nightmare (or so I hope).

First, we have less than 12 creatures drafted in color, so I don't know where you are getting that number from.

Second, how is the potential for a fresh creature at the end of each opponents turn for a single green mana not worth it's weight in gold? It's like having a Debtors Knell but allows you to attack with the creatures you are getting back. Even if the "combo" does not get online, we are still making a 2/2 for 1 mana. That's an Issamaru every single turn. That will win a game, not a non-land non-creature discard, especially in Cube.

Third, tokens (or a pair of Kokushos) always work best with Nightmare. At this point we have to assume that we will get one last chance at a bomb and it might not even be a creature. We already have a deep library of spells and non-creatures in this draft, why not try to lower the curve and provide some early to mid-game stability with a constant stream of guys?

Being born in 1990 I feel like I may have missed a few shows, but certainly remember a vast majority of these. My favorites were always Rocko's Modern Life, Pete and Pete, which is thankfully on DVD, and pre-film Rugrats. Even now, when I can find them, I get a kick out of watching these shows that I loved so much when I was a little kid.

As the person who had to submit the vote, typing "Limited votes for Limited" felt a little weird.

I hope that for the next one, we won't have the temptation.

I understand that, but most of us agreed that it was what had to be done. It wasn't like you went rogue and voted for us against the clan's will. And I too hope there is no temptation like that in the next contest; more clans too.

Duress, Perfect is just another creature so I go with the early disruption here.

But why exactly is another creature, in a draft that is so far a bit creature light, especially on the lower end of the curve, a bad thing?

I understand why you would want another disruption spell such as this, but we are starting to reach the point where our deck is all disruption and combo pieces, but with nothing to hold them together. As of right now we have drafted 10 creatures, one is Llanowar, one is a Wall. So we have 8 creatures that can realistically attack. Ohran Viper is a 1/3, Genesis is better off the in 'yard, and leaves us with 6 creatures realistically. 6/40 is just under 20%. That's far too low. Duress will not win us the game, dudes will, especially a dude that makes 2/2 dudes for super effing cheap.

I too lack MODO, and unfortunately have no intentions to start using it. Sorry guys, I'm a paper only player. Call it old school, call it loyalty, it's a money situation. I would however love to see the results and pick orders from as many people as possible.

Also, a bit off topic, but I don't think we should feel bad voting for ourselves in this clan contest. Should we have been allowed to vote for ourselves? Probably not. But the fact is, a lot of those banners were trash and we just thought ours looked the best, not because it was ours, but because we felt it really did look the best.

I get this, but I think that having the Thoughtseize, Hymn, and Duress would give us a critical mass of hand disruption that would be a beating on our opponents, making Duress a better pick.

I understand completely what you you are getting at as well, but we are currently a bit creature light and we could use the body, let alone the tokens and Nightmare engine that comes with it. Duress is a great pick, one of the best discard spells around, but we can't force ourselves to attempt to win on the backs of so few creatures.

Imperious Perfect gets my vote. Infinite Recurring Nightmare fodder, plus he is making 2/2's for a single green mana. Not to hate on Duress, but it's not the better card.

My favorite movie is Yojimbo. Kurosawa manages to blend so much wit and humor into such an ancient and violent tale that the killing takes a backseat to the dialogue.

I'm going to have to go with Watchmen. because the happy stereotypical perfect superhero bugs me. yes, i like the fact that Rorschach is bats*** insane. plus the fact that he kills people with random crap he manages to find. also, Dr. Manhatten while an unfeeling atomic psuedo-god is entertaining while not being all bland and all-knowing. mainly when he blows people apart like a firecracker. oh, and "who watches the watchmen?"

    Are you being serious?
