I'm not sure how Arms Dealer ever got cut, probably to test something out and then never put back in. Regardless, Idol of Oblivion was not the card advantage I thought it would be in this deck unless I'm already in a strong place on the board. So Arms Dealer is back and the Idol is out.
I'm incredibly exited for Underworld Breach, which is some awesome recursion for this deck. Combo pieces, once destroyed, are no longer gone forever! Kindred Charge was the most expensive card in my deck, and if it's useful, like the Idol, I'm already in a really strong board state and could probably stand to bring some things back more. Given the low average CMC of cards in this deck, recurring up to four cards will usually be the much better play.
Hi Jay ! Enjoy your version of the deck a lot. Never bothered to post on here but I’ve been following the deck for at least 4+ years now. I play a slightly powered down version but sometimes I like to take your version out for a spin when people are getting real competitive
He's the artist behind my favorite Silvos, Rogue Elemental.. haven't seen any art by him lately. Did WotC drop him? If so, what's the story behind it?
Not sure I asked Carl if he had anything new coming up he said he hasn't heard from wizards in a long while just like Mark tedin...dropped without much say...
Sad really I love their work. The new art direction is very digital
Thanks KingofScrubs i got a little crazy i know haha...totally addicted i collected art before this but just random pieces mostly from my travels to asia. I've since sold a large chunk of it to pay for these pieces
Hello all I was on themanadrain forums tried to sign up but cant seem to get it working. Found this thread here and many of you guys are on both. Just wanted to introduce myself. Names Will. Played Magic as a young kid (aka stared at the cool art and made up rules with my brother) and then later on in high school fairly competitively. Lost touch with it until Zendikar got back into it and then due to work I ran out of time to play. Started collecting magic art this year to get my fix since I just can never find the time to play!
Raise Dead 7th edition by Carl Critchlow
Soul Manipulation Alara Reborn also by Carl Critchlow
Phytohydra by Jim Murray
Dungrove Elder by Matt Stewart
Fauna Shaman, Silent-Blade Oni, Ambassador Oak, Boggart Harbringer - Steve Prescott
Divine Offering, Timber Protector, Thromok the Insatiable - Terese Nielsen
Pariah's Shield, Goblin Cannon - Douglas Chaffee
I'm pretty jealous of some of the art you guys have collected! But I'm also happy to find out I'm not the only one doing this as I have been pretty much alone in this endeavor for the past 6 months lol. Thanks to originalmagicart.com i found this community.

Its really impressive in person to be honest the art on the card doesnt do the original justice as is the case with most of the card art! hehe
