Mar 17, 2014spooky posted a message on Casual Castle: Nemesis of MortalsI had not thought about red at all actually, but there are some interesting options there. Fling is one, but Faithless looting looks more promising. Also, there are a few cards in black that are very similar to fling.Posted in: Articles

Mar 17, 2014spooky posted a message on Casual Castle: Nemesis of MortalsGrave Troll is certainly an option, as he could both be cast as big creature, or fill up the yard for you. I'm wondering what would get replaced though?Posted in: Articles

Mar 17, 2014spooky posted a message on Casual Castle: Nemesis of MortalsIf you have the Genesis already you can certainly try it. I think the fact that he costs half the cost of the deck is a bit of a flag for me.Posted in: Articles

Mar 17, 2014spooky posted a message on Casual Castle: Nemesis of MortalsBloodrush as a graveyard filler is pretty cool. Maybe a combination of bloodrush as well as cycling?Posted in: Articles

Mar 17, 2014spooky posted a message on Casual Castle: Nemesis of MortalsCreature only decks sound really cool. I think this deck could actually be insane in such an environment, as you draw many more cards than any of your opponents will.Posted in: Articles
As far as the guttersnipe idea goes, if you wanted to work on a deck together I would love to help. Go ahead and message me some ideas (maybe a list) and I'll see what I can do. -

First thing to take out of the main deck would be firecraft. That's more of a sideboard card. The same goes for Searing Blaze, especially since you don't have any fetches. You can use four of those slots for Eidolon. Later, take out the rest of the Blazes (move them to the board) and two hellsparks to put in chain Lightning. After this, remove the last two hellsparks, and the three keldon maruaders for 4 Goblin Guide and one more Searing Blood in the main. This is how I would do it.
4 Delver of Secrets
4 Monastery Swiftspear
4 Stormchaser Mage
2 Young Pyromancer
4 Daze
4 Forked Bolt
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Ponder
4 Preordain
4 Spell Pierce
9 Island
5 Mountain
4 Sulfur Falls
Izzet Charm is also a card to consider in this list, just like in your original list. I might also consider Misdirection and/or Stifle
If you wast to play less of an aggro deck and more of a control deck I can help you with that as well, just let me know.
This is my list, turn 2 demon with a 5/5 zombie giant as backup happens more often than you would think. Go to town!
4 Basal Thrull
4 Blood Pet
4 Delraich
4 Demon of Death's Gate
4 Marsh Flitter
2 Mortician Beetle
4 Sengir Autocrat
4 Dark Ritual
4 Duress
4 Quest for the Gravelord
4 Victim of Night
18 Swamp
Also, Brood of Cockroaches is basically another Reassembling Skeleton, you just can't recur him more than once each turn.

If you can afford the swiftspears get them, I just suggested figure because he costs $2 less than spear.
-4 spark elemental
-4 searing blaze
-4 Magma Jet
-3 shard volley
----------------------------
+4 Figure of destiny
+4 Fireblast
+4 Flame Rift
+2 Searing Blood
+1 Sulfuric Vortex
You are running a few more 2 drops than most burn decks with this list, thanks to the whole, no swiftspear and no chain lightning thing. Because of this, you might want to test out one less flame rift for one extra mountain. Hope all this helps!
Gitaxian Probe would be a great addition, you just need to find something you are willing to take out. The list is pretty tight as it stands, what were you thinking of removing to make room?
