With Needle, why not name Elspeth, Gideon, or even Ajani? Jace is historically weak by itself, especially against Jund. If it's not defended by another Pwalker (Gideon, Elspeth), it's meat. Stopping other defensive Pwalkers limits Jaces capabilities.

Agreed. Elspeth is number 1 in this MU. Next is Gideon for his provoke ability. Jace is infact pretty weak by himself with no protection.

I've tried all of them now and I have to say Vampire Hexmage is the clear winner.

Needle is good to for its ability to shut off ALL copys of said planswalker but it constantly getting O-Ringed is really irritating and some are boarding a card (name escapes me) cost four and is a natuarlize...Kor Sanctifyer is it? IDK. Hexmage is also really good in other MUs which is what my main issue with needle was. Mono red decks, a bad MU for us, hate this guy. While generally he will get burned away he can hold off Ball Lightning. Some are running the 2 drop dragon with lvl and letting him get to lvl 7 then hexmaging him to a 2/2 and blocking seems to get people everytime. No one thinks of lvl up as a another reason to play hexmage. AID is awesome in the sense that if you land it, its pretty hard to lose. Getting all there planswalkers and their O-Rings is awesome. However, at 7 mana it tends to just get negated almost always. Its as if they know and hold it for this reason.

Pithing Needle is far, far better and I'm not sure why people haven't quite clocked on yet. You can name Walkers as well as Collonade and even Tectonic if you want to get through with a man land or keep your mana.

I like the power it has in this MU but what other MUs would I possibly use it in?

Cool. Do they board in WOD against us? If so I may board the 3rd CV. Was taking out Thrinax for Ruinblaster correct?

My sideboard is pretty decent I went with
    3xDuress
    3xMalikar Bloodwitch
    3xRuinblaster
    2x Consuming Vapors

    -4Thinax
    -4Lightning Bolt
    -3Terminate

Duress is very good in this MU I think. It has saved my rear from T2 Spreading Seas a couple of times. Bloodwitch is by far the MVP in this MU. They can't seem to do anything but wrath it away and I heard they board sweepers out against us. Ruinblaster I have thought of not using but it seems so easy to bring it in against Collonade. Consuming Vapors has been really hit or miss in this MU. CV seems to generally eat a Elspeth token most of the time. Elspeth is by far and away the most irritating card in the deck. I have yet to play any games where my opponent has boarded. What do they board in against us? I don't really want to board needle as it seems weak against other MUs.

I'm surprised he got past manlands and such with no terminates in the main. They seem like a staple to me.

What matches are these for? Personally I'm not a big fan of Thought Hemmorage. Pithing Needle is pretty good against Planswalkers and stuff. What MU are you trying to board for? Doom Blade is a must I think its good in a lot of MUs. The main card you are missing is Goblin Ruinblaster. Lots of Jund running around you're going to need it. Typical other board options are GSS and Malikar Bloodwitch.

I'm excited to see results with this deck. It looks like it could be really good. It uses two cards I wanted to see play.

    - 3 Pulse + 3 Mind Rot
    - 2 Broodmate and 2 Garruks + 4 Goblin Ruinblaster usually does the trick.

4xRuinblaster and 3xMind Rot is my game plan and it rocks. Both are good in a lot of other matches too.

I like it vs white weenie. In the right moment, it acts as a fog and a removal spell all-in-one. It's nice vs allies, too, if you make it to turn 4 to play it. :p They don't pack much removal so MotWh is basically a free term and fog every turn.

Aside from that, it's been okay in u/w control to lure out dojs (or play after a doj funny enough). Slowly building an army of attackers that can also shoot down a baneslayer or Iona is useful. Dropping a Master when you have a lone thrinax also puts them in a weird situation. "Do I doj and give him tokens/let bbe drop next turn? Or do I let him build an army?" He's as good as garruk in the control match-ups. Even moreso if they side out paths for purges.

Boss Naya also has trouble dealing with him if he doesn't eat a bolt. Their creatures aren't very big so you can usually shoot down their attacker with 1/2 wolves in resp to the exalted trigger. Or even use him to fog an alpha strike.

Granted, MotWh eats removal like a mother (and for good reason! no one likes an opposing army) so you always have to be careful when you play him. Even if he sticks for only a turn or two, he's huge card advantage. I try to side him in vs decks I know that don't pack much removal, vs decks that pack a lot of hatebears (white knight, firewalker, lightcaster, and even stag), and vs permission control match-ups.

Agreed. I see a lot of people boarding him over Garruk in the mirror. I have to say in a matchup where removal is high MOTWH seems only ok but good if unchecked. But since there is so much removal in Jund I think I would rather see Garruk than MOTWH. In light removal decks like control and WW is where he really shines and can win by himself. Why do people board him in and Garruk out?

If it does, it will be yet another different Naya-colored deck, imo. The "tech" surrounding him for recursion so far is Kor Skyfisher, Ranger of Eos and Bloodbraid Elf.

This. Ranger of Eros is the first card I thought of when I saw this guy. Naya will make good use out of him I think.

    polymorph is a dumb deck

ive seen it lose cuz they cant draw the frigging polymorph

or the stuff they try to morph just gets killed

    its funny

Unfortunently on the flip side, they can also get the stone cold nuts draw and have a 15/15 or Iona on turn 3. When you have only 2-3 lands that can be a hard position to get out of.

I was thinking of Duress and Mind Rot. I think I'm kind of biased towards Mind Rot because it is good against OTV, the mirror, and u/w control decks. Getting to pick Polymorph for sure if they have it is tempting. Which is better?

Consuming Vapor has been really good at my store. People there are playing the Polymorph deck with the 15/15 guy. Making them sac him is awesome.

I've always been a fan of Jund Charm. Open the Vaults seems like a bad matchup and the remove ability is crushing against them. Board sweepers are always a plus and growing creatures is never bad. Jund charm is a very flexible yet underrated card.
