Some sort of "contract" mechanic that represents the deals people are entering into with the gangsters. I'm thinking it may be something similar to a quest, where you have to do X and then you get Y once you complete it.
Here's my wild speculation, the contract/quest mechanic works like companions in that it starts out of your deck and can be initialized from the board, or maybe a variant on dungeons from AFR.
I hate that it is Mana value Less than X and not X or less. Besides the fact that it feels like a templating break from how they typically do X cards, it means you have to pay 2 if you wanna go get ornithopter and have one in play.
Outside of some arcane combo I'm not thinking of this is gonna be trash.
Feels too slow of all things, bouncing itself. There are some benefits in that it protects itself but what deck that can play this is going to take it over Ragavan, Goblin Guide, or Monastery Swiftspear, or just more burn.
T! Ragavan
T2 attack, make Treasure
T3 you can do this + Have bolt/spell pierce mana
Seems good in the same way that running den of the bugbear is good. Prob only a 1 of in that type of list. There is some utility to the fact that the creatures are colorless and the land goes to the bin
I like this blood moon because of how prominently it sticks out on the table. It is one of those cards that changes the whole scope of play and it should stick out like a sore thumb for everyone around.
No, Chandra, Dressed to Kill does not tick off all the same boxes as Chandra, Torch of Defiance. Importantly, Chandra DtK cannot kill creatures before she ults, unlike Chandra ToD.
+1 - Add R - Very likely reads "+1 cast a 1 mana removal spell from your hand". That seems pretty damn close to removal the first turn and probably better than removal on subsequent ones.
Torch needed to tick down to kill something, so I'm not sure how you are doing that consistently before you ult unless the game is already a foregone conclusion.
You are all sleeping on this Chandra I think. She basically ticks all the same boxes as Torch of Defiance but for 1 mana cheaper, and Torch sees play in bloodmoon lists in eternal formats. I think in those lists this may be a strict upgrade, or at the least a side grade since it can be in play with torch at the same time.
I will certainly grab my cheap copies when the market flattens out post release.
