I happen to love mass polymorph. There are no end of playable token generators for it and fatty legends you would want to get into play all at once.
While the Polymorph deck was weak against spot removal, this one is not if you have the targets
While Emrakul and Iona are weak against a resolved Jace, both of them at once are not.
Being able to splash one off of other fatties to cover weaknesses is something you couldn't do in the last format. Now you can run ulamog to protect from DOJ, Or Sphynx of the steel wind for Jund.
Mass poly decks could conceivably just run the green titan and the eldrazi legends and after your first morph start hard casting the drazi. Lot's of potential in this build.
Indestructible doesn't help you if they put the removal on the stack when you cast the aura. And afterwards all it does is prevent effects that destroy or damage, not exile, sacrifice, or bounce effects which are typically more popular in the format. Path, Cryptic command, Gatekeeper, even consuming vapors may all see strong play in the format, and all of them not only deal with your aura easily they will generate card advantage at the best and tempo advantage at the worst.
White life gain has done nothing but jump by leaps and bounds lately. It used to be that you didn't play life gain because it didn't do anything, but now there is SO MUCH that gets pumped by it it looks like a really viable strategy. Add to that the fact that some already good cards jut have life gain tacked on to them, and the fact that Path is leaving for condemn, and i think Lifegain is very viable a deck.

All you really need to watch out for after that is the new red leyline and you have a very cohesive deck.
I'm of the school of thought that 4 oversouls is too much. Protection is sweet but its not relevant in every game, its high on top of the curve as far as man goes for your deck as well. Kotr plus a land package will be a bigger threat more of the time for more of the army and more versatile.
The auras have the inherent weakness in your deck that remove 2 for ones you, and if that removal is green or white you can't use your protection spell against it or you will protect your own aura into the graveyard. Equipment doesn't share this problem
Deck thinning does work. It is mathematically impossible for it to not work. the graphs in that article actually illustrate that.
If you would like to argue that the cost of life is not justified by the marginal benefit, that would be a fine argument.
One thing it also helps against is your opponent fatesealing you with Jace. Chances are if they left a card on the top they don't care if you have it, so cracking a fetch to at least getting a shot at something better is probably worth the 1 life.
Once rotation however I think there are a lot of great options for the deck. Juggernaut, Voltaic key, Steel Overseer, even the bell could all have a space for them. Tezz could even fit in if you want to shoehorn him in there.
I think if the sword is what most are speculating, it may not actually be +2+2, but may be +1/+3 or +0/+4. I think for the colors it would make sense and since its still a combined 4 point bonus it doesn't go against the cycle.
I feel like the triggered effects may have to be substantially weaker than what they were, or perhaps they just reuse the 2 effects for each color (blue is draw a card, etc), but Pro Blue and Green is a very relevant combination right now and for legacy so if this sword is what is being speculated i expect it will certainly be a chased after card.
How will those fit in and what can they do for me that my current cards do not?
Filter lands are almost strictly better than the m10 lands. I would run them over sunpetal, if not just run both. It is relevant with the firewalker in the sideboard.
Your deck gets mostly blown out by wrath effects, so gaddok teeg will stop the common ones. Probably more for the sideboard than anything, but a worthwhile include none the less. there are some random strategies that he will blow out of the water, and since they have to kill him first to wrath anything, and you have protections, it makes sense to run him.
KotR is one of the strongest creatures printed in the format. by including it in your deck you can do the following that you could not do before:
Add 1 Sijiri Steppe to your deck for the protection combo
Add 1 Kabria Crossroads to your deck for surprise life that can catch your opponent over extending
Add 1 khalini Garden to your deck for a suprise chump blocker who gets pumped by Wilt-Leaf Liege
Add 1 Stirring Wildwood to your deck for an uncounterable attacker.
The KotR seems to be clearly stronger than shield of the oversoul, the aura, or the 8th copy of a protection spell. It adds a lot of versatility and raw power to the build.
In standard, the ability to untap an artifact creature to use for attack and defense is already a pretty good ability for 1. Lodestone Golem and all of Esper benefits from this well enough in a creature dominated format that its going to see play.
[CARD]
Voltaic Key[/CARD] coming to M11 sounds really broken... but that and Temple Bell will basically save Runeflare Trap from an otherwise untimely death due to the loss of Howling Mine and Font of Mythos.

Also hold on to those stoneforge mystics!

Go back into the new extended and it starts getting zany. draw engine with Illuminated Folio seems dooable.
Based on what he said, here are some artifacts that can fit the hint:
Of thoes cards it almost feels like Key is the one it has to be.
I dont think they would intentionally make a 2 card combo that straightforward. Even bushwacker / Devestating is color specific and full of risk.
I'm thinking it will have alot of synergy though, if not combo ability.
You'll need to include one of the eldrazi titans in there to prevent killing yourself often enough.
Still seems viable enough in legacy
