Quote from FearDReaper »He was a demon planeswalker until he came to zendikar and then he lost it (I dont remember how exactly, I think Nahiri did something to him). Apparently he found some amazing power in "the heart of zendikar" whatever that means and it restored his powers.Quote from The Phasewalker »He's a demon though, how did he somehow REGAIN his spark?
He was a human planeswalker until he found and started using the Chain Veil, which corrupted him and turned him into a demon destroyer of worlds, which he was cool with. He went to Zendikar next to destroy it, but Nahiri, the then-guardian of the plane, put a hedron in his forehead to bind him, which not only stopped the influence of the Chain Veil but also seemed to strip him of his spark (although the same hedron was used to seal the Veil's influence on Garruk, and he's still able to planeswalk). In the events of DotP 2015, the player and Jace take the hedron out of Ob Nixilis to use on Garruk, which "unshackled" Ob Nixilis and set him on the path to regaining his spark.

I now have only one EDH and modern deck, which I plan to keep for the future in case I get the urge to play again for whatever reason. I look back and regret a lot of the money I've sunk into the game, especially on pure chaff like Theros. I'm playing Hearthstone, and love the fact that I can dive into a game for a few minutes if I want to play with an amazing UI and no secondary market to tie up the value of cards.

I think this is the fist time outside of a core set we've seen a mythic reprint. Guess they had literally no idea what to give red this time around, and a big stupid unplayable enchantment might've made people too angry.

It's almost as if wizards looked at all the problems MM caused and went "Let's make things even worse the second time around!"
