I quit during Onslaught block and resumed playing in Zendikar, but have a very keen interest in knowing about Mirrodin + the adventures of Glissa and friends. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
We have a facebook mtg group. Some of the people there are fat. I traded / bought cards from some of them (e.g. meet at a mall fastfood to trade cards). They sit opposite from me at a small table in the fastfood, and I don't smell anything bad at all.
I currently don't discriminate against fat players. Maybe because I haven't met anyone yet who smelled terrible like some people in this thread describe them.
:)!
Congratulations on reaching the semifinals.
I see that your list could really have explosive starts with the tombs + opals, it's a fun build with chalice. Steel Overseer is an odd choice, since a lot of people consider it to be too slow, glad it worked out for you.
With the grunting of brain-hungry zombies chasing prey, and the horrified screams of the contestants when caught by zombies. How long would they survive? Nobody knows! It would be probably one high rated TV show.
*just kidding ok
Thread added to favorites for future reference.
For example, a morph creature is being cast facedown for 3. Will a Spell Blast for 0 (X = 0) counter it?
Places I prefer to visit / live in.
1. Lorwyn - the place looks beautiful. Assuming Rhys and the elves won't be hostile to foreigners.
2. Kamigawa - visit and socialize. Admire the tourist destinations like Eiganjo Castle (assuming it has been rebuilt).
3. Mercadia - I would often stop by over in this plane to trade goods and stuffs.
Places I would avoid.
1. Sarpadia - don't want to be fighting Thrulls all day, or possibly killed by them. In the story they've evolved to the point that they're strong enough to repel a phyrexian attack - with no planeswalker helping them.
2. New Phyrexia - don't like to live inside a sauna (furnace layer).
3. Grixis - each day would be a nightmare. Won't stay in it.
For example, I have Dust Bowl and 3 plains, activate ability of dust bowl with the 3 plains. Can I sacrifice one of those 3 plains for the ability?
One of my cousins has a similar habit. Buy packs, make rogue decks that are good for casual, but stand little chance against competitive Standard decks. Then after awhile (usually a month or two), he lose interest and give away most of the cards.
If opening packs is what makes the game enjoyable to you, then just keep doing it.
For which match-ups are the Defense Grids for?
Would be better if you mention what decks you commonly encounter in your meta.
I don't buy booster packs anymore. But years ago I did, and would agree that it's fun opening them.
The suggestions are appreciated.
*gives thanks
Sorry, should have said right from the start why I was looking for land that doesn't turn back into a creature. The reason that I wanted something like Gargoyle Castle is for use in a casual fun SFM deck. Because in mid to late game, I would often run out of creatures to equip. Lands that can become creatures are a nice backup plan. However, re-equipping to manlands that turn back to a land at end of turn sort of ties up my mana. For example, re-equipping Batterskull to a Stirring Wildwood and turning the Wildwood itself back to a creature so it can be equipped takes a lot of mana.
Zuko's suggestion of Springjack Pasture fit my deck perfectly.
Already found what I'm looking for.
Yeah. And it depends on the personality of the planeswalker on how they reply. For example, Chandra probably says things similar to what Jaya Ballard says.
I'm looking for lands that produce a creature, and the creature don't turn back into a land. I already know about Khalni Garden and Dark Depths, but don't know about Kher Keep. 1R for a 01 sounds nice. Thanks.
The City Tree looks cool. And that's a funny goat producing land.
Well, the reason I asked is because lands like them are sort of fun in casual games. As a one of in decks that can support them. Thanks again for the useful info.
