You're playing Mono RGeosurge with Urabrask. Assuming he goes off after you've dealt 14 to him, how are you going to 'reserve special hate' for his follow-up Splinter Twin next turn?
The only option in Mono R would be Dismember, but it seems like you've dumped your hand already.
Not hating, but just saying, mxyzptlk does have a point.
here's a cute little interaction...
Geo player goes 1st...
3rd turn DE/ST player: 3 lands in play untapped. Done
4th turn Geo player:
1.You power out to turn 4.
2. Cast Priest of Urabrask, replacing the 2R used to cast him with RRR. (This is optional, it just allows for more swinging with the next steps.
3. Cast Geosurge. Net RRRRRRR.
4. Cast Urabrask the Hidden. You're down to RR in the pool.
5. Cast 2 Furnace Scamp.
6. ???
7. Profit.
DE/ST player: Flashes Deceiver Exarch, taps Urabarsk, blocks one Scamp. Takes 3, and another 3 from the unblocked Scamp.
Geo player: Done.
4th turn DE/ST player: Land, Plays Splinter Twin on Deceiver Exarch. Done. (Can't do the combo yet due to Urabrask in play...)
5th turn R Geo player: thinks... if he can squeeze out an Inferno/Frost Titan, that could mean GAME...
Urabrask delays the DE/ST combo for one turn, a small opening for the Geo player to do something to break the combo...
the DE/ST player could also not play ST 4th turn and just wait to be able to bounce Urabrask and combo out...
tl:dr
Urabrask delays the DE/ST combo for one turn
First.. you'll only need one of each Poly targets...
hitting two Jins or two Voriclex is going to be bad...
Second... having creatures other that your Poly targets is a recipe for inconsistency...
you'll be better of with token makers... see Awakening Zone
Living weapons could also be a nice token maker (could... ).
Third... where's your See Beyonds? how would you deal if you had the Big guys on your opening hand?...
Lastly... I think this would go better as a control-poly than a ramp-poly...
Control-poly requires more patience but is more flexible against different decks...
Voted for Urabrask...
I really like his flavor ever since he was spoiled... I just kept saying, "I'm gonna put this guy in my standard deck"...
It's just great that R&D had thought of a way how to do anti-haste...
as for the others here's my order:
(2)>Voriclex - very nice ability... might be nice in ramp deck, but definitely a very powerful EDH card...
(2)>Jin-Gitaxias - this guy just screams cheat me! goes well with Voriclex and is also devastating in EDH...
(2)>Elesh Norn - a control's creature of choice... this together with Sun Titan ensures control players that pesky critters won't go unchecked...
(5)>Sheoldred - she just fells like two rares strapped together with a big body... :|
the GWU Praetors are tied... Sheoldred just fells off, flavor-wise...
Last time this came up (like 4 years ago with some other card and Spellbook), I said that that the opponent would still have an infinite hand size, but I was wrong. Unless the rules have changed since then whichever came into play last would be the hand size followed.
J-G is nice and all, but his draw cards is forced... if for some reason you can't win with him out within a few turns, your gonna get yourself decked out...
UB Abyssal Vat could use this card...
3rd or 4th turn Abyssal Persecutor, next turn G Oil...
if you get 2 swings thru, your basically just going to wait for the G Oil to kill Percy...
cute card... only testing will tell if it's going to see play...
Phyrexian Unlife 2W
Enchantment (R)
You don't lose the game for having 0 or less life.
As long as you have 0 or less life, all damage is dealt to you as though its source had infect. (Damage is dealt to you in the form of poison counters.)
Melira, Sylvok Outcast 1G
Legendary Creature - Human Scout (R)
You can't get poison counters.
Creatures you control can't have -1/-1 counters placed on them.
Creatures your opponents control lose infect.
2/2
Question:
When I have both Melira and Phyrexian Unlife in play, am I basically immune to direct damage?
And what happens when I receive damage from my opponent's creatures?
first of all, you´ll have to play B. Do you really want to pay 4 life to get rid of 2 tokens from tumble magnet, or 6 life for a jace?
I play jace2 and brainstorm. You play Hex parasite and either waste your turn (mana) or 6 life? fine by me, I still come out in front.
Ravager did not see play (and won´t see play) because it has absolutely 0 impact.
So I never get to draw a jace or play tokens. your hex parasite is now a laughable 1/1 for 1..
Man, every time I get to see someone waste a whole turn to get rid of jace with this card, I´ll poop out flying kittens on a stick.
Hexmage is a whole lot "better" as is can actually deal with aggressive decks and do not require me to keep either B open or lose life.
Horrible sideboard card...
why would you pay 4 life to remove 2 counters from a Tumble Magnet or 6 life for JtMS?
his ability is X which means you only have to pay 2 life once per activation...
also Hexmage is only playable in Decks having B... this guy can be played in any color deck...
so we can like...
Geosurge

just want to say what's on my mind... =]
hmmm... that sounds sweet... =]
from Madroc's stack description, your fast effect should be placed on number 3...

you play Etched Monstrosity with Melira, Sylvok Outcast... =]
land
Surge Node
(total mana that can be produced next turn: 1)
T2:
land
Everflowing Chalice
tap chalice activate Node: charge chalice
(total mana that can be produced next turn: 4)
T3:
land (3 lands in play)
Voltaic Key (use 1 land, untapped land:2)
activate Node (use 1 land, untapped land:1)
charge chalice (Chalice at 3)
tap Everflowing Chalice for 3 (float 3)
untap Chalice with Voltaic key (use 1 land, untapped land:0)
tap Everflowing Chalice for 3 (float 6)
Wurmcoil Engine
Thought Devourer - Hand size minus 4
Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur - Hand size minus 7
Null Profusion - Hand size equals 2
Recycle - Hand size equals 2
Spellbook - Hand size is doesn't exist
the first two just loses to Spellbook effects...
the next two are the things the are dependent on which enters last...
3rd or 4th turn Abyssal Persecutor, next turn G Oil...
if you get 2 swings thru, your basically just going to wait for the G Oil to kill Percy...
cute card... only testing will tell if it's going to see play...
since it is just basically a 1 drop... for the cost of two life...
if your opponent is not playing red... a 2nd turn 3/3 flying lifelink that dodges Doom Blade and Gftt is nice...
