Regarding Rhonas's Last Stand, Goyf dies to Fatal Push, too, and it can't be recurred with Snapcaster Mage. It's likely to be bigger than Goyf for a turn or two, as well. Its biggest drawback is that it's GG.

I would think that double green and not getting to untap 4 lands off of a snapcaster would be the draw back. It just seems to leave you very open to getting blown out hard on the following turns, you snap this back and your opponent follows up with double push or push snap push and you are left with nothing and you don't get to untap 4 of your lands seems like a highly probable line of play in the current format

Forgive me, I just play so many mana dorks in my decks that I tend to assume it's obvious you're going to need them to support this card. It's only good in a small handful of decks, and they'll have a tough time finding room, but it could shine there.

    Speaking of Bone Picker

Couldn't you just activate the discount by also playing an X creature (Hangarback Walker Walking Ballista Endless One for zero, it dies then Bone Picker for one B mana?

Not saying it is good combo, but it could work that way correct? (Sorry if it has been brought up already)

This works but, as you suggested, it's a bad combo.

Picker is not a good card. It's only Delver if you have a removal spell AND your opponent is playing creatures AND you cast the removal spell on your turn. Or, if your opponent blocks and loses a creature in combat. Or, you play sac creatures that no one is playing otherwise, relying on mini combos with individually weak cards that have low payoffs. Those scenarios are all highly conditional and underwhelming and won't typically work against many of Modern's best decks.

Or you are an aggro deck and you attack. Hes not as reactive as everyone seems to beleive he is.

Gotta agree with Lantern. Creatures are dying in combat left and right in aggro and midrange matchups. If no one is blocking (or removing) your creatures, then they're getting blown out anyway. Bone Picker's evasion makes it relevant after turn 2, and it wouldn't be the end of the world to occasionally hardcast it. I think it'll show up in some decks.

It's probably somewhat of a chicken-and-egg situation at this point. It has not been my experience that women or girls are averse to fantasy or games (the opposite is often true). I think the problem stems from MTG having been marketed to a male demographic early on because of contemporary social (mis)conceptions. Perhaps given some more time and some more word of mouth, more females will get involved.

Meddling Mage is probably SB material (and a rather narrow one at that),
why not use Scavenging Ooze (or Voice of Resurgence) instead ?

Its purpose here isn't only to hose specific cards game 2+ (although it's still great at that); it's to turn Queller into a hard counter. It's a creative application I'd never really considered before, to be honest. You certainly wouldn't be criticized to move it to the SB in favor of either of the cards you mentioned in your particular version.

The Saheeli/Guardian combo seems like an acceptable and probably welcome addition to Modern. It's easy to interact with but still powerful. Saheeli is not a useless card by herself, unlike, say, Splinter Twin. In fact, she helps dig for the combo. Not that this is the place to mention it, but I'm much more concerned about the combo's impact on Standard. Seems too strong for that environment.

This is the card that is going to make me finally play black. I can't believe how good it is. Revolt is a pretty smart way to print cards with notably higher power-level in Modern and eternal formats without breaking Standard.

I really wish that this guy had Flash, but he's already got too much value at 1 cmc, so I understand. Should have been an Ooze, probably.

I really don't think the removal is bad in Bant colors - no one really questions the removal in UW - you're just literally splashing green into what others consider a good deck. Everyone is totally cool with UW control but as soon as people splash green someone goes 'Oh no Bant isn't good.'. It sounds to me like Bant's actual problem is one of public relations.
Actually there is a problem with UW: there aren't many viable options to kill a turn 1 mana dork. Pathing it is useless, Dismember costs 4 life, Sunlance and Oust can't hit it T1 on the play, and Condemn doesn't work because mana dorks aren't meant to attack. Twisted Image and Gut Shot kill them, but they miss out on a lot of other targets so they're SB cards at best. That's why adding red to a UW deck helps, because you now have Bolt to deal with dorks. Adding green doesn't have the same effect.

There's always... Piracy Charm, I guess. I actually used to run it in a charm-heavy Bant list back in the day, and it always drew gasps.

Tell you what, I'm certainly going to try. I've got a Bant CoCo deck that needs some dusting off. The question is, what is the best direction to go with Tamiyo? I have a feeling that she will be best in a nontraditional Bant shell, something that can better abuse her ultimate.

I'd like to point out that Tamiyo doesn't care if you control any creatures (although in Bant, you likely do). Her +1 can be used on opponents' creatures. I say this because everyone seems to be suggesting she's only good in decks with high threat density. In the event you don't have any creatures on the board, her +1 acts as a huge deterrent to attacking.

Is it really that much better than Misthollow griffin? Agree to disagree there. Like I said, I could be wrong!

Yeah, it's way better than Misthollow Griffin because it's an Eldrazi, it's already cheaper and easier to cast, and it turns targeted removal into boomerang. This card makes a lot of sense in Processors. It's something you're going to have to deal with basically every turn (granted it's not much of a threat). In multiples, the card advantage is substantial.

Eternal Scourge is obviously only good alongside Relic of Progenitus or Scavenging Ooze or both. There it is pure value and very nearly impossible to get rid of. There are decks that already run one or both of these cards in multiples that may put it to work.

Literally an endless beater/blocker in processor decks. That has to be good for something.

Good card is good, but I'm much more interested in the implications of even more (possibly cheap) Eldrazi coming into Modern.
