    Dell Axim 51V

    -Runs on Windows OS
    >>Runs Windows Mobile 5 and syncs with Windows XP

    -Wi-Fi/ Internet Access
    >>Built In via Pocket Internet Explorer. You can visit any website you want, but most will look rather distorted because of the small viewing screen. Some sites (like Google) have specialized pages for PDAs that automatically come up if you're browsing on a PPC. So yes, you could visit this forum Smile

    -USB port
    >>Not built-in, but you can buy a USB Host card that plugs in to the Compact Flash slot and gives you a USB host port. Problem is that its expensive (>$100) and there aren't many things you can plug in that don't have a wireless counterpart

    -Headphone port
    >>Check

    -Keyboard port
    >>The Axim can simultaneously pair with 6 or so Bluetooth devices. Keyboards, mice, gamepads, headphones, etc.

    -Color Screen
    >>640X480 VGA display

    -"Landscape" viewing capabilities
    >>Check

    -NO physical keyboard attached (as in no blackberry)
    >>Check

    -A good battery life (what do most have?)
    >>Battery life depends on what you do:
    >>Movies: 30-45 Minutes
    >>Music: 2-3 Hours
    >>Games: 2-3 Hours
    >>Websurfing/Text-Editing/Sound Recording/etc.: 5-6 Hours
    >>All time quotes are based on continuous use and with the standard 1100mAh battery. You can buy bigger batteries as well Smile

    -A crapload of memory (as in @ least >1GB)
    >>256MB built in Flash Memory + SD card slot + CF card slot

    -Preferably in Black casing Smile
    >>Sure, you can buy a black case for it.

    -Won't leave me bankrupt >_<
    >>You can find great bundles on E-Bay...even if you get a bunch of accessories, you'll end up spending much less than a laptop, a tablet PC, or that dumb-tarded OQO.

    I snagged one of these on Ebay at the beginning of the semester and I've used it practically every day since then. I use it to record lectures (via the built-in microphone) while simultaneously typing notes with my bluetooth keyboard. If I need to draw something into my notes, I can do that too. I've got my home PC set-up through www.orb.com so I can stream music and movies from my home PC to my PPC (or any other PC). Via www.logmein.com, I can remotely control my home PC's desktop from my PDA, too. If I'm at school and need a file from my home PC, www.avvenu.com has me covered. Finally, if I get bored of my Nintendo DS, I can play practically any NES or SNES game I want via emulators. And if anything ever messes up with it, there's a huge support community at www.aximsite.com.

    Needless to say, it was a good purchase Grin

    Suppose I've got a Hunter Sliver and a Two-Headed Sliver in play. What happens in the following situations:

    * I swing while the opponent has only one creature. Is it possible to provoke that creature if he controls no other legal blockers?

    * I swing while the opponent has more than one creature and I only control one Hunter Sliver. I know that I can only provoke one creature per instance of provoke, but is the defending player still required to declare a second blocker if he's able?

    Thanks for the help!

    last time they did them, it was on the old card face.

    False...Have we forgotten Unhinged already? Who/What/When/Where/Why, anyone?

    Back on topic...the return of splits is very cool! The guilds have a lot of design space for the split card concept to be taken further. Also, if the Time Spiral block rumor is true, it could be a possible tie in of that block's theme of revisiting old mechanics!

    The original spell never resolves. The only thing that resolves is the unspliced Desparate Ritual and the copies of the first spell (Lava Spike + Ritual). The first spell only resolves at the end of the combo.

    Very cool idea! Cleaning up the rules for phasing while adding design space to the mechanic. Some cool cards, too. I'd like to see more thoughts on this...looks like it has potential!

    You'll have to pardon if these cards have been done before, but I don't freqent these forums. I just had a couple of ideas that I thought were pretty interesting...

    Banish BB
    Sorcery U
    Put target creature into its owner's graveyard.

    Somewhere between destroying and removing from the game, the wording allows it to get around effects like indestructible.

    Predict the Future 4U
    Sorcery R
    Scry X, where X is the number of cards in your library.

    Yes, it does what you think it does :cool2:.

    Everlast 1WW
    Enchantment R
    Permanents cannot be sacrificed unless a player plays a spell for which a sacrifice is an additonal cost.

    The wording is clunky, but necessary to avoid being broken.

    Rebuild the Ruins G
    Instant R
    Search your library for a basic land, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library. During your next turn, you may play an additional land.

    I don't know...too cheap?

    Role Reversal 2
    Artifact R
    Creatures you control have haste.
    Noncreature permanents you control cannot tap during the turn they come into play.

    It may have its uses...

    No...probably not. But if the Saproling thing gets huge, a funny card to print would be something like this:

    Something 1WW
    Instant
    Destroy all creature tokens.

    I don't know. It might be kind of funny.

    Looks like the Urzatron was in 9th for a reason. It's good, but it's no T&N. But who knows, with all the mana accel and mana fixing in Standard, this could easily see play.

    Black Lotus, Channel, pay 20 life, and at end of phase mana burn for 20. You lose the game w/ -20 life.

    There...it only works under older rules, but it used to be a good way to end the game on turn 1 :p

    or some fifth option that can only be realized in 10 or more spacial dimensions

    Funny thing is that some theories in Theoretical Physics require the universe to exist in 10 spatial dimensions to work Cool

    Back on topic, this is a wonderful idea on WOTC's part. I hope they don't use the gold border on every guild card though. I'd like to see some kind of color-fading scheme. It would really help diversify all of the multi-colored cards and would provide a quick reference to what colors belong to each guild.

    Most schools and colleges in America run on a GPA (Grade Point Average) System. Here's how it works.

    For each class you take, you can get one of 5 letter grades based upon your performance. The percentages are based upon most classes, some teachers and professors may use a slightly different scale.

    A = Over-achiever = 90 - 100%
    B = Above Average = 80 - 89%
    C = Average = 70 - 79%
    D = Below Average = 60 - 69%
    F = Failure = 0 - 59%

    Under the GPA system, you get a grade point for each class, depending on your letter grade. The scale goes as follows:

    A = 4
    B = 3
    C = 2
    D = 1
    F = 0

    All grade points for the term or semester are averaged together to form a Grade Point Average. So a 4.0 would correspond to all A's, a 2.0 would be a C average, and so on. And I guess some schools offer extra points for honors classes and such, so it is possible to get over 4.0 in some schools.

    I hope that explained it clearly enough Smile

    I had a 4.0 GPA all through High School. I suppose it should have been higher, as I took and got A's in AP Calculus, Calculus II and English Comp II (at a local Community College, and I got automatic credit English Comp I because of my ACT score of 30), and Public Speaking (at Wichita State University, the school I currently attend) in High School, but my school didn't do extra points for classes like that. I guess that would put me in the 4.1-5 group for High School. Oh well, I think I got extra nods for it anyways as I came out slightly ahead in a tie for Valedictorian :cool2:.

    However, College is a slightly different story. The class structure caught me slightly off guard because I hit some concepts in Calc III and Diff Eq that I just couldn't get. Perhaps it was because I took both simultaneously :p? That and my high school didn't do too well in preparing me for the way College classes work. Anyways, I got B's in those classes and A's in the rest.
    But last semester was the worse. I was an Engineering major, but I found Statics to be too frustrating. It was taking me hours upon hours to do several problems, and over half that time was spent erasing and pulling my hair out. I always eventually got the answer, but I thought to myself "If this is what engineering is like, I don't want any part of it!" and just gave up about 3 weeks before semester's end. Due to the way the class was structured (In order to pass the class, you had to pass 14 quizzes over the semester, I think I had 13), I got an F, but in a 'normal' class, my hard work throughout most of the semester would have surely yielded a B. Secondly, my University Physics 2 professor was an old fart that didn't know how to teach, so I eventually only went to that class on Fridays to take the weekly quizzes. I got a B in that class. Finally, I took a course overviewing topics in Modern Physics because I'm a geek for Theoretical Physics. That class was pretty tough (I was the youngest one in the class), so I got a C in that class. My other classes yeilded an A and a B. So I think my overall College standing is around 3.0.

    Needless to say, I'm not an Engineering Major anymore. I finally pulled my head out of my @$$ and enrolled in the College of Music majoring in Music Theory and Composition. I've always had a natural talent for music. I played flute from 5th grade all the way to 12th grade and picked up several awards along the way. However, I'm pretty bored with the flute now, probably because I picked up a guitar in High School and it's a much more versatile instrument. So, my main instrument will be the Guitar, I've got to take some piano lessons for my degree (I've always wanted to learn how to play piano), and I've got to pick a secondary instrument eventually. Maybe I'll be unbored of the flute by then? :p I finally feel that I'm focused and on the right track. I'm really looking forward to my next semester in school.

    I'm working on getting a band together. I play guitar (leads and rythyms), I know a bunch of bass players, and ZERO drummers. I found one drummer, but he's about 6 years older than me and my friends, so I'm not sure if it would work out too well :/
