Sangfeuille literally translates to Blood Leaf. Would be a cooler. Cooler than Kin, even though you can use the word that way...The fact that it's an elemental makes it semi-playable.
I wouldn't say forever. But until a viable vaccine is made widely available, for sure. But then again, there's this whole subset of people who don't believe in vaccines so I dunno. Maybe that's an American problem only and the Magic Fests in other locations will still take place.
It's only a matter of time before the game goes fully digital. Maybe Covid will have sped up this process. Might explain the plethora of products WotC is releasing this year. Just to get that stuff out of the way before they focus on the digital aspect.
MTGA just got that 3rd masters set (and it's pretty good, all things considered). Having the ability to curate their own format in the way they want to is probably going to be the eventual successor of modern (pioneer might have just been a band aid to bridge the gap).
Lurrus sucks in Modern what are you talking about. It's more than fine. Hell, it's a welcome change of pace because it encourages durdling. Which is not a thing that is often found in Modern. You wanna talk about bannings in modern? I would kill Amulet Titan already. And what are you doing with Lurrus in pioneer that is so broken anyways???
Pretty much no surprises today. Lurrus getting nuked in older formats.
I do wonder what that means for Commander though since this is a very special case? I would imagine that the Committee might just put a star on this one and say you can totally play this in EDH, it's fine.
damn these people. none of the bans actually matter to me, but they just keep banning and banning. remember when they used to UNBAN stuff? the most common thing used to be to ease the sting by giving something back, now they just take.
in all honesty, these are bans on cards that should never have existed in the first place. expect to continue to see this. this is the new business model: print busted cards to simulate sales and ban when it's time.
The problem with modern is that there are too many powerful cards. You ban one thing, then something else rises. Then you ban that thing and something else takes its place.
Modern is a flawed format in nature and I don't think it can ever be particularly stable anymore. There was a time that yes, it was pretty stable. But that time has long since past with the constant printing of insanely over powered cards with horrible designs.
I'm almost at the point to think that everything should be unbanned and embrace the format with all it's brokenness if you're into that sort of thing.
However since that's unlikely to happen, my vote goes to:
Modern
Urza, Lord Artificer
Griselbrand
Amulet of Vigor
Heliod (3 mana one)
OUaT
Veil of Summer
Pioneer
Dig Through Time
Breach
Legacy
Breach
Oko, Thief of Crowns
Standard
I would consider Teferi ban worthy for what's left of his shelf life. It's been a bit of a miserable card to have to play against for it's entire existence. But wouldn't be mad if they didn't.
That masticore is quite powerful actually, looks like a staple to me.
If that thing is real, except to see it played across multi format. Having flash is messed up.
Get your playset boys, you'll be seeing a lot of this for the next little while...

Depends where you are in the world. It's 10 am PCT normally, or something like that. I know that in my part of the world it's about 11 pm or so.

If you gonna hit 'em, hit 'em hard.

Neat.
