I was trying to create a RPG a few years ago.
I was using actual Magic cards for the spells that players would cast. Character level would dictate the casting cost and rarity limit and use different archetype for their basic abilities (Martial, Primal, Arcane, Stealthy).
Gameplay could reward different cards to add to one's arsenal of spells.
I was playtesting Sun-Crowned Hunters in my Marath, Will of the Wild EDH. Enrage seemed to be a great ability with Marath second option. 1, remove a +1/+1 counter from it: Choose one
- Deal 3 damage to an opponent or a planeswalker he/she controls
- search your library for a basic land card
- draw a card
- put a +1/+1 counter on all creatures you control (except Bellowing Aegisaur)
Did they reveal if there was 1 DFC in every pack or have them appear as regular rares, since there's only 10 of them and all rares. The later seems much more likely but one can hope...
I just had a crazy thought. This new Minotaur Planeswalker's name is too close to Tahngarth, Talruum Hero to be a coincidence. I bet that he's from Dominaria and that by escaping Ixalan, the 'protection' protecting Dominaria will collapse, giving access to the plane once more.
What's the deal with "legendary planeswalkers"? Will there be an errata to all previous planeswalkers?
In theory, they'll errata all planeswalkers to be legendary, get rid of the planeswalker uniqueness rule, and just use the legend rule for planeswalkers.
That would mean that we could have one of each Jace in play since the Legend rules is based on card name. I don't see that happening.
I ordered 2 of these. Since you can play with 2 of each schemes, that will give me 2 of each, which I'll add to my existing ones. I will keep one of each deck to play, and cannibalize the other set for my EDHs and collections. I need that Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker for my Nicol Bolas EDH, which I have named 'Schemes'.
I think it would be cool if they created a legendary shapeshifter that allowed you to choose a create type as it comes into play. Then, it would give creatures of the chosen type some sort of ability, buff, or cost reduction. It would allow you to make a tribal deck of your choice.
They just need to update Brass Herald. I play him in most of my Tribal EDH.
I have yet to see the decks... Both LGS I visit had their shipment delayed. I usually enjoy foils, especialy for Commander. I can't wait to see for myself.
I didn't see a post for this, nor any pictures from the mothersite.
I compiled a list of tokens that we see in each deck.

The page does says that the image came from an internal alpha build of Magic Online
I did open a Torrential Gearhulk expedition in one of the packs so I'm happy.
