So, I guess I wasn't mad enough at wotc to get one of these? The seven emails I sent, three phone calls, and several tweets out to their various support networks, when I was STILL unable to get a single box of their GRN Masters Set? And yet, the people who managed to actually get one of the boxes is now being rewarded with even MORE rare, exclusive cards? Yeah...this totally makes sense, and is 100% "FAIR"...
Exactly...everything has been downhill. It makes ZERO sense to "overpower" "sooome" creatures and cards, but not others. Maybe if everything was on the same power level, it would make for a more diverse and interesting format, that MIGHT actually bring in more players back to the game!
Wrong Forum. Who cares about EDH? Nothing is sanctioned, just proxy, no one cares about your 100 card decks of magical christmas fun land that completely negates the skill needed to play a REAL game of magic, and a format that isn't political or based on what stupid combination of cards you managed to put together to do some other absurd thing that was never intended to be played that way to begin with. You severely underestimate how serious EDH is looked on as...Whenever I see an "EDH" game going, I just think "oh look, there's the little kids table at dinner time. Where do the adults sit, so we can eat real food and have grownup conversations?" ROFL
This is one of the better designed cards in the past few sets, overall. Don't understand why they had to wait for a commander product, before giving us this level of card design.
Sorry, but you all must be extremely poor to say that "Standard" isn't affordable, or what have you. Cards are at their cheapest they've ever been, aside from Multi-Format All-Stars like Karn, Teferi, etc. So, yeah, I am glad those cards are $30+ dollars, because otherwise, the game would be completely worthless from a collectors point of view. Especially someone who is buying Boxes at $90+ a pop. You people who can't afford to play with that cost basis, really shouldn't be playing Magic at all, and should maybe re-evaluate your lives, and possibly consider getting a better job/second job, because Magic is clearly NOT what you should be doing with your spare time, if that's the way you look at it in your budget... I'm actually positive they did think through the four-card jank combo that's soon to rotate out of Standard. Being able to go infinite is a feature and not a bug if it's not degenerate.
In Commander, for sure, but I suppose it's far less dangerous in Standard since it needs so many pieces to work.
Maybe in the sense that BFZ was the begging of the 4-set Eldrazi themes block that ENDED with SOI and Eldritch Moon, LOL. Cutting off the first half of the story makes ZERO sense from a design and flavor perspective. IF this is to REALLY be the "post-modern" format, enjoy your $80 Liliana the Last Hopes...
If this is a format, it is a COMPLETE FAIL on wotcs part. They random DON'T include BFV+OGW for what reason? I can understand, according to Maro's post, about not including KTR Block and M15, but not including Origins is the opposite of what he was originally trying to do. Origins forward makes PERFECT sense, and that should be a fine format.
I really hope that's not the real spoiler, despite how authentic it does look. There are a handle of interesting cards, the rest looks like constructed unplayable core set garbage...
