I know its a slow card to get out but have you thought on putting Goblin Marshall in the deck. It produces 2 tokens when it comes into play and 2 when it leaves play and you can use that to feed your food chain or sac the tokens to Seige gang
You lose autimatically once you life total reaches 0. You must respond to gain life wile the 0 life is on the stack so your resolves first
For instance:
Player A is at 3 life
Player B casts lightning Bolt
Player A Casts Healing salve in response to the effects of the lightning bolt
Player A has 3 life and is still alive
What doesn't work
Is when you play off your life total with cards like City of Brass or what damage dealing/Life loss and keep playing spells until evertthing resoves. You have to respond to you life total hitting 0 or you die,and has to be an instant effect. You can't make your life total 0 and then cast something to bring your life total back to the +side or continue playing cards.
It is more of a third turn win than a first turn win. I have had a first turn win once and I don't think it will happen again for some time.
I am going to run my first game I play again with 4 factories and twiddle with it a little to see if I can keep it in the main deck. I added it to my list on the first section.
Having power would be great but I reall don't know if I need it or not.
The december update (found here) removed Stroke of Genius from the restricted list, much like how they had done with Braingeyser in September. So you can use more than one.
However, honestly, this deck doesn't need more than one and could utilize other draw instead. (If you really wanted to put more strokes in though, I'd put 1 in the sideboard and run a few Cunning Wishes main deck. Also, if you ever do get power, get Ancestral Recall and Time Walk first. This deck really wants those cards badly.)
If I can get them you bet I plan on puttin them in. I would want to get a Black Lotus as well, but the market has shot it up in value beyond my grasps
I do like the idea of sterling grove. It can fetch the fastbond or other essential enchantment it needed and can protect whats in play.
Good call on that.
I am not sure what to place in the remaing slots of the SB but for now I could put 2 Stirling Groves and that should fill the SB out
As for the Manlands I will try and stay away from them for now they seem to slow it down. I used to run 4 Factories before I put in the Barbarian Ring and it was greatly improved. Its good if it has haste but with all the wastelands running rampant I depend on having a instant way of winning
251:) You think Serra Angel and Exalted Angel are more appealing than your girlfriend
252:)During sex you decide to quit and go platest a deck
253:)You take sick time off of work to go to a local tourney
254:)You have every room plastered withn trade binders and random deck
255:)You spend over half your day on trding sites such as this one
256:)You think Urzas a real person
257:)You spend more in a month than you do rent or food
258:)For all those "It's only a quick game hun" that goes until 4 in the morning
259:)Telling people "In response"
Fastbond>Crucible of Worlds>Barbarian Ring> Zuram Orb = GG
or Stroke of Genius
There are several ways of controlling the game such as much needed land destruction, Infinate life if needed, Tutors to bring what I need if I don't draw the combo.
Brainstorm and FoW ensure early game control to set up the engine and Mana Drain to play out a free horn of greed if the time is right to play it
Its sort of like Turbo Land but doesn't carry the same win conditions as it does
Just a thought
