Moment's Peace is a fog effect. Hailstorm will not kill everything, however Moment's Peace is practically a removal effect. The only other card I would play in it's place would possibly be Tangle but it doesn't have the ability to flashback. With Flashback and Witnesses, that gives us 12 Fog effects. The focus of Tooth is just to get from Turn 4 to Turn 6, Tooth and Win.
Anything that needs to be killed O-Stone or Deed takes care of depending on the build.
This is currently the build I am playing. The Black splash has been great in testing so far. I march over Zoo, Gruul and pretty much every aggro deck there is. Discard decks are pretty much a bad matchup Game 1, but post-board it's not too bad probably up to about 75%. L.D. like KBBK, I have to play around. (Cryoclasm Mdecked sux) But if i resolve a Martyr Turn 1 I pretty much can stabilize, Unless they have the Skred in hand. Dragonstorm(why are people playing this?) is a pretty easy matchup as well with the Hide/Seeks.
I know Im not running the Snow Engine. As I found out last season playing Owling Mine, This deck does not put you at a disadvantage if you play Howling Mine. In fact, It provides an advantage with the Martyrs. But Im sure you already know this if you are playing Howling Mine.
I know this build may seem suboptimal at first glance, but Try it. It is very good, even in the mirror. I welcome any and all constructive criticism. I enjoy this deck a lot, as it is very annoying to my opponenets. Those are the decks I enjoy, ones that win as well as annoy the heck out of my opponents.
1) Shawshank Redemption. The be all end all of movies. The only thing that is bad about this movies is when TNT decides to run it 5 times a week. I hate commercials.
2) Scarface: Makes even the world's biggest losers(i.e. myself) feel like a bad ass.
3) BASEketball- Trey Parker+Matt Stone = genius.
4) The Skulls- Watched this for the 1st time last night, and it is this high on the list already.
5) The Adventures of Milo and Otis- Dogs and Cats living together, Mass Hysteria........ which brings me to.......
6) Ghostbusters
7) The Golden Child
8) Grandma's Boy
9) Troll 2-Rent this movie NOW!!!!!!!!NOW!!!!!! Right Now!
10) Office Space, Why should I have to change it..... He's the one who sucks?
When you postpone your birthday 1 day, to coincide with a Vintage tourney. And the Bears/Giants game.
Awesome Birthday.
Nov 19th, in this order.
1) Drop kids off at sitter.
2) 12:00 am Vintage Tourney
3) 7:00 pm Bears/Giants game at Buffalo Wild Wings, Score!!
4) Sex with Wife.
5) Pass out drunk, may happen before #4.
I as well do not want this great deck to die. But the Extended meta is waaaaaaaaay to fast for it. Exhaustion and Gigadrowse almost have to be maindecked. I feel for this deck to be played, it would mostly have to be mono-U and probably include Scepters. Which would allow you to play with Academy Ruins, which could also potentially be a backbreaker. Im off to fiddle with a list, but I hope this inspires some conversation on the subject.
Moment's Peace and O-Stone, or Deed should help your aggro matchup. No need to board Shaman and Baloth, it is a waste of sideboard slots.
What I'm trying to figure out, is how Tooth beats FlowRock? If you haven't played against the deck, FlowRock is like usual Rock..... except it plays Destructive Flow. If they go 1st Turn Birds, 2nd Turn Destructive Flow, scoop em' up. I've boarded 4 Grip, but if they resolve Flow Turn 2 it is a auto-loss for my build which only plays 4 basics.
So anybody got any ideas, because I expect to see this deck come PTQ time?
I for one am a big fan of the Hussar maindeck. Like stated before, it gives off that "Oops I win" feel against decks that can't deal with it mainboarded. Then game 2 after all the hate comes in, board it out.
Hunted Charlie got me. I am a sucker for people who want to quit the game. I quit after Ice Age, my parents found religion made me burn my cards. I torched a Beta Lotus, and Unlimited Ancestral, Ruby, Pearl, and Walk. I am now 25 moved-out and on the verge of bankruptcy. Those cards could bail me out right about now, THANKS MOM AND DAD!
Actually Coffin Purge to me is better than Crypt. It is targeted, and instant. I actually forgot the Duresses, Duressi? My board will probably look like this............
Deed is not the only reason I splash black. It allows for better sideboard options, such as Duress and Coffin Purge. I really dont care for O- Stone I think it is very slow. I run 3 m-d Moment's Peace, as well as 3 Deed for the Aggro match-ups.
Right Now with the black splash, my only bad matchups are Loam decks. Aggro Loam is expecially bad thanks to whore cards like Thoughts of Ruin and Devastating Dreams (man, I hate this card.) That's why I like to have the Duress to pull out these cards, and Deed just rolls AggLoam. And Purge mops up the annoying Dredge cards, as well as pulls other junk like Orim's Chant, Wonder, Ichorid, (Insert annoying graveyard crap here).
Please forgive me for not using decktags. I am computer illiterate.
Ive been playing Tooth since the good ol' days of yore. As of right now I am splashing black for Deed and other goodies out of the board. What is everyone's thoughts on playing Lotus Bloom in the deck? Also what splash (if any?) would be best for Tooth?, as I am planning on playing this for the Extended season this year.
I havent read all 18 pages of this thread, So I dont know if it has been said already. But this card just screams "I BELONG IN EXTENDED TOOTH AND NAIL DECKS, PRONTO!!!!!!!!"

Absolutly, if you Seek out a Hellkite Turn 2 and they don't have Remand, they might as well scoop and move to game 2.
As for why Im not running Trokair, as of right now I own none.

1x Abunas
1x Angel
3x Coffin Purge
3x Split Second Naturalize
2x Mindslaver
2x Blinkmoth Well
I dont play the Slaver's main, because in my Meta there are few control decks. Slaver just feels like a win-more card to me.

Also, I need to find a way to fit 1 Gaea's Blessing in the M-D?
You forgot Poland. Also, Deck Tags. (btw- it's not hard. Just type [*deck][/deck*] around the deck and leave out the asterisks)
Thanks in advance for everyone's help
