I'm really looking forward to the Dr. Dre and Eminem albums. Their stuff is great. Chamillionaire's should be pretty good but I've had my fill of him with all the mixtape messiah's and songs he puts out.

The album I'm probably looking forward to most is Crack the Skye, Mastodon is probably my favorite band of this decade. Their just great musicians who put out great music.

Has anyone check out The Knux? I think they're terrific, and I would say they have the top rap album of last year if The Carter III wasn't so good.

Alright! Pulled back to 5-5 in my playoff picks with a perfect weekend! I feel like Daunte Culpepper throwing TD's for the Lions.

I really like Pittsburgh in this superbowl, but the Cardinals are just hot. They feel like last years Giants where they looked like they were gonna lose every week but just gutted it out and played good football.

I'm still picking the Steelers of course, 21-7.

EDIY: I completely forgot to mention it, but how embarrassing to all those people who said Joe Flacco isn't a rookie any more. Looks like you got that one wrong.

Man what a good comeback attempt by the Eagles. Great tenacity, but Warner really showed his grit on that 7 minute drive to eat up the clock and get that TD. The offenses for both teams were incredibly impressive.

As for this AFC championship going on right now, the Steelers are only leading by 6 but it feels like so much more. So many missed chances for the steelers to get a touchdown or two.

When teams that are under .500 are making it in, you know you have a shot. Grin
    *edit*
Well, 16/30 means that statistically it would make sense for a couple under-500 teams to be in the playoffs.
But yeah, the East is weak. Heh.

East actually is beating the west overall in games played between the east and west. The west's good teams are better, but the teams outside looking in on the playoffs are terrible. The east is just more balanced overall.

As for the game against the Cardinals, I agree that it will probably be close. I think a lot of people here are underrating the Eagles defense and overrating the Cardinals in general. Sure, they destroyed the Panthers, but Delhomme didn't exactly make it difficult for them. When the Eagles blew out the Cowboys in a similar fashion, people seemed to think that any team would have been able to do what the Eagles did. How is the situation with the Cardinals any different?

Actually Vegas odds are going 3 points in favor of the Eagles, so I wouldn't say the Cardinals are overrated at all.

So in the top 4 we have Eagles, Ravens and Cardinals.

Who would've thought that this Super Bowl...

...could be one for the birds! Dance

Haha my dad said that exact same thing when the Eagles won their game.

What a weekend of upsets, with the exception of that Steelers game. With this weekend I am extremely confident that the AFC will win the Superbowl. I think either AFC team would shut down either NFC team.

So I'm 3-5 in my picks, but by Chargers logic I can definately come back and made a playoff run!

I'll make my picks, and if I can pull off both I'm up to .500.

    Steelers over Ravens 21-7-
I know people are talking all about Cool Joe and all that talk, but I think if Flacco is put in a position when he has to win the game for his team then I seriously doubt he'll be able to pull it off. I just trust Big Ben and crew more than him when the game is on the QB's shoulders. I see this being his big breakdown game where he throws 7 int's and passes up Delhomme as the embarassment of the playoffs.

    Cardinals over Eagles 27-24-
Both of these teams defenses are on fire and the offenses aren't far behind. I would put them on equal footing on a neutral field, and I think the home field advantage is going to make the difference here, but I really wouldn't really be suprised either way.

Alright now that it's gone this far I really want to see an Arizona/San Diego Superbowl just to completely vindicate the BCS rankings for college football. I will lol my way to the next season if the Chargers are crowned superbowl champs.

Baltimore at Tennessee: Man from the score it looked close. Sadly I ddn;t get to see it, but that is still a MAJOR upset.

Actually, it wasn't really that much of an upset. It was what everyone said it was going to be, a close game that came down the the wire and the team that forced more turnovers won. About 1/3 of the annalists picked the Ravens to win, and it did sort of make sense. Tennessee had some really bad breaks when they got down near the goal line, and probably would have won if they didn't have those two fumbles down around the 5 yard line.

As for that Carolina game, now that was a huge upset. The Cardinals came out swinging and putting up points and then Delhomme kept them from having a chance through the rest of it with his 6 turnovers.

Eh, not too bad to start my picks. 2-2. In all honesty I can't believe I talked myself into picking the Vikings, even though they are my team. With T-jack at QB and Childress at the helm we never stood a chance. I mean seriously, with a good coach I could see the Vikings as one of the NFL's elite, like 13-3 seasons regularly.

As for the Cardinals, I got convinced out of that prediction like a day before the game by the Sports Guy on ESPN. He basically predicted what was going to happen and gave good reasons and it was then that I knew my ATL pick was wrong.

Alright so on to this divisional round:

    Carolina over Arizona 38-10-
In all honesty, that one playoff win was all Arizona had in its tank. Did you see the gatorade bath? That was a team that did not expect to be here. That first game was their superbowl and they are not gonna play with fire and energy. I see this as being the biggest blowout of the playoffs by far. Carolina is too good at home, Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams will have huge game and make the post-season joke which is the Cardinals look like the scham they are.

    Pittsburgh over San Diego 18-10
Pittsburgh's defense is too swarming, the best player other than the QB for the Chargers is worn out and overhyped and the Chargers are coming off a game won for them by their punter, who had basically the best game in the history of punting. Big Ben and the offense aren't all that indimidating, but neither is the Charger's D. I see a defensive tochdown or safety sealing the deal for Pittsburgh.

    Tennessee over Baltimore 14-7-
Tennessee has been underrated all season and this is their chance to prove why they have the best record in any conference. Their running game is ridiculously good, and Collins can throw the deep ball which is what you need to do to beat the Ravens. I also just don't have trust in Joe Flacco to win two road games in a row in the playoffs. I just can't see it.

    Giants over Eagles 28-24-
Eagles are getting overhyped when they beat a Giants team without their best player (Brandon Jacobs), a Cowboys team that had one of the most epic chokes in football history and a Vikings team with an even worse coach running it and one of the worst QB's in the league. They are not hot, just lucky. The Giants are clearly the better team, and I'm putting the score at 28-17 because I think the Eagles will make it a good, competetive game. But if they give up on the run and just air it out all game after falling behind early, I can see this rivaling the Carolina game for the biggest blowout.

Hmm... no upset picks. Really, the only one I could see pulling off the upset would be the Ravens, but they are getting too much hype and too many people are picking them for me not to think that the Titan's are going to come out with some fire in their game.

:(. Hopefully the Vikings can pick up a solid QB in the offseason. Cassel would be nice, maybe McNabb if you Eagles fan's get your way and give him the boot.

Listen you're completely overreacting buddy I'm not saying this as anything personal against you. I'm not saying the Blazers are bad and wouldn't have stood a chance if that didn't happen. I'm just saying it was a bad call. Calm the hell down.

Funny thing is that's the way it happened though so its over. Even if the game was rewound back they would have been even more pissed off if they made the technical and the blazers hit a 3 or something instead of that dunk.

Then all of a sudden its a 2 point addition when in this case it would have been 1 point.

So yeah its not me being a fanboy but that case could have been a lot worse for the Celts barring some rewinding the clock fiasco.

But whatever I would feel this way even if it was Boston playing Los Angeles. The rules were handled to the best of the refs abilities period.

If you think they screwed up that's your prerogative obviously the NBA is going to back the refs and that's all that counts.

I obviously realize that that's how it happened and that it is over. I know there's nothing that can be done now, or even later than, obviously. But that doesn't change the fact that it was a bad call. You can't argue that the ref's made, you know, the actual correct call. And how would have the technical all of a sudden make it likely that Portland was going to hit a 3? That's a dumb scenario to just make up.

I realize that there was nothing that could be done after the fact, but if that happened to your Blazers you would be pissed. I'm saying the fan's have the right to be pissed, and that it really was a bad call. Nothing other than that. And I didn't mean anything personally which you seem to feel I did. You obviously can't objectively look at this as your team is involved, you just spout the same crap you said before. Listen, before you say it again, I know that it happened how it did. I know there was nothing the ref's could do after the fact. That doesn't change the fact that the Blazers got a favorable call for their team.

Well every quote ive read from ESPN on this subject has the refs quoted as saying thats the way the rule is done.

There only other option since so much time had passed off the clock is to rewind the game back. Give the Celts a Technical free throw then give the ball to the Portland.

But again you never hear about 6 men problems because it happens in like 1 in 100k games. Anyways there were plenty of one sided calls going the Celts way near the end.

It also wasn't planned Greg didn't come out because he thought Nate was replacing someone else. Normally the only guy that replaces Greg is Joel and Joel wasn't in the play.

Listen I know you're a fanboy but when you break a rule you break a rule. Just imagine if your guys had been on the opposite side of that, how pissed would you be.

So how about the Celtics? They've dropped a bunch of games lately. Their bench really is terrible, the starting 5 are putting up consistently huge scores and leading the team but their bench just loses it for them as soon as they get out there. They really need to make some pick-ups.
