Paving the way to reprint a bunch of old planeswalkers with the new wording in that planeswalkers masterpiece series i'm pretending they are going to put in that dominaria set next year.
I feel like the stones are so close to playable, had they only cost one less, or had no tap cost for the card draw, or not had to tap to draw the card.
I feel like they should be in the land slot in packs like the guildgates.
Have they announced if this is going to be released anywhere early yet? They just put up the PAX info, which would be too late (that and they didn't mention it)
Gencon is a week away, and they still haven't mentioned how or when there well be an early release. Are they only selling it via stores this year?
Have they said anything about where they are going to early release it this year? Any chance of a return to gencon after the 2010 clusterfluffle, or are they still thumbing their noses at Indiana for wotc's bad ideas?
Eh, it's a pretty unattractive looking mat. If it didn't have the goblin and the two women flanking him, and just an empty throne with the girls on either end, it would look better.
While I don't find art offensive, it doesn't really say "Magic" to me. Seems more like an image appropriate for V:tes or nightfall.
I'm indifferent to them sticking around. I'm realizing I saved a lot of money on the game when all i did was buy singles and didn't open any sealed product.
-no drafts
-no prerelease

Saving a couple hundred bucks every few years is a nice break.
I would of picked 'sometimes' if that was a choice, as I feel it's more accurate than undecided.
I always wonder how much shareholders and secondary market earnings come into ebbing a choice in one direction.
Mythic rares are a perfect example of something I would consider an exploit.
More recently, something like side effects of double faced cards.
...There's got to be a small part of the player base who hates the idea of unsleeving a card every time they have to transform it, so they have to own two copies of every DF card so they can have one sleeved on each side...
I would have a hard time believing a wotc employee if they said the above was never mentioned once at some level in the design/development process.
But these are two small exploitive experiences over years of normalcy.

If anyone ever wanted to see some lol magic cards.
Just to mention, this isn't me, but thought others would enjoy seeing it.

But on the name alone? As if they didn't just name a card monomania a set ago.
Yeah, I keep hoping they reprint birds of paradise once or twice so those alpha ones come down to under a buck.
Classic guitars and records don't nosedive in price when they make replicas.
And if the cards currently in circulation are any indication, it wouldn't affect Magic either.

He can't, he's just making an assumption based on how he feels.
Let's look at netflix
24.6 million subs at 9.99 254,754,000 gross
23.8 million subs at 15.98 380,324,000 gross
now, that's a gain of over 100,000,000 million with a loss of around 4% subscribers
Now that was a price hike of 60%. That's like saying magic packs would be going up to $6.40 a pack. $5 is only a 25% increase.
Netflix is not a perfect model for comparison, but it might give a little perspective.
I doubt a $5 hike is going to do any lasting damage.
