I'm sick of seeing "good" used interchangeably with "good for Spikes" on this site. Krosan Cloudscraper is a "good" card because Timmys love it and make up a third of the playerbase of Magic. That kid whose FNM deck has two Colossus of Akros in it because he only owns two? That kid's voice counts as much as yours in WOTC's ear, no matter how many planeswalker points you have. You wanna design a card? Win an invitational.
I highly doubt that the entire player base is partitioned equally.
Common bestow, we knew that was coming, I guess I'd hoped they would be a tad more interesting.
Rare red guy is fine, but not OP by any means. Your opponent getting to choose is the real thing, prevents combos and is most likely going to be a 5/3 haste for 4 (unless you are out of cards in hand). Not format altering whatsoever.
Blue guy is kinda cool, great with lots of Bestow obviously.
I know it's an entirely different card, but it just feels so much like Precinct Captain. I think it is worse than Precinct Captain though for constructed.
The word you're looking for is Spike. If you want to use a word to look down on someone try picking the right one.
You are obviously confused. A world without removal is NOT a competitive. Also I am not looking down on anyone, as I am a Johnny at heart. Johnny's love combos (which is what I was talking about), and combos are easily disrupted by removals.
Honestly I have no idea what you are thinking. I just didn't know if you were serious or sarcastic.
The most interesting card on here is the 3 power guy. Three power for two mana, that also shuts down almost all card advantage? Seems pretty standard worthy to me. Especially alongside the stupidly powered Brimaz. White Weenie has some new powerful options (and the 3/1 could be a great sideboard card against Sphinx's revelation.
I don't play EDH, but the rule that your Commander has to be legendary seems sort of arbitrary. It makes sense from a flavor perspective, and I get why people stick to it, since it's a cornerstone of the format, but would it really be a big deal if you played with a nonegendary general? I mean it's a singleton format anyway. Does it really matter if you make Chromanticore your general?
Whelming Wave is the current front runner for Worst Flavor Text 2014. Are they even trying?
I didn't notice this until you pointed it out. Lol. I have learned to never pay attention to "flavor text"...more like "that italic stuff at the bottom."
Well on a less judgmental note if you can get Phenax and Consuming Aberration out at the same time you basically win.
Haha, good point. The only real concern is both those cards cost 5. However for casual this is quick awesome. If you have devotion then it will kill them VERY quickly. If you also have milled them earlier in the game it will kill them VERY quickly also.
I think all the cards are good. The God is slow but powerful. The green card has lots of combat dominating potential with the right spells. The blue card is also great in the right deck. None of the cards are all that by themselves, but definitely dominating in the right deck.
Constructed:
I don't view UB God as good for any constructed means. For casual decks I think it's great. Here's why I don't think it will influence constructed much:
Seven devotion is not easy to attain. It requires multiple permanents.
You need a lot of toughness to mill them quickly.
It costs five, and without devotion it is just a bad enchantment.
If it is actually any good, it can be exiled/countered in numerous ways.
The green one drop is fine, but IDK about constructed worthy. It is turn one play with no limits on how big it gets (I sort of think of it like Figure of Destiny, but you need spells to build it up). Green constructed and spells don't often go hand in hand. Name a good green deck with 12+ creature targeting spells in it?
The wave is cool, it should see play in sideboards at the very least. It's interesting since Cyclonic Rift is already a thing. However, this is more aggressively pushed and is a sorcery. The first card I compare it with is ***, as it is a 4 mana sorcery mass removal. The extra clause has little constructed merit unless there are some staple sea-creatures I don't know about. Still it is an excellent card for control.
Gonna throw my opinion on the pile and agree that it looks a little too sexual for what WotC is usually comfortable with.
Which is perfectly fine by me. Magic would be too embarassing for us grown ass men if it was all bikini armor and schoolgirl thongs.
I agree with the fact that MTG doesn't need bikini armor and schoolgirl thongs. Though I don't think this card is anywhere near as provocative as other cards. See -

Design creativity:
Perplexing Chimera
Gild
Arbiter of the Ideal
Fated Return
Satyr Firedancer
Raised by Wolves
Archetype of (all)
Favorite power creatures
Brimaz, King of Oreskos
Fanatic of Xenagos
Spirit of the Labyrinth

it won't. it feels like a waste of space to me. shouldn't this have been in CoK block?

Ahhhh a Johnny. Or a sarcastic mofo. Either way, magic becomes a bit more interesting in this world. But less cutthroat and competitive.

I thought it was pretty Bobvious as well.
