Those aren't ally colors. They're more like coinciding ideals. Though really I don't see natural order fitting into white (other than including the word order). Keep in mind that the natural order is usually meant to mean predator/prey, survival of the fittest and kill or be killed which doesn't appeal to white's motives since white would prefer to defend the weak rather than prey upon them till they die out or improve. The only ways in which green and white characters really get along is in that neither has any desire to threaten the other and both wish to preserve certain things they like, like ecosystem for green and cummunity for white. They are simply usually capable of coexisting. Other than that, they don't really share any common ideals that I can think of.
Most of the similarities between green and white lay in shared mechanics rather than shared ideals.
u might want to go look at the color wheel given with each intro pack showing shared ideas that link the colors to each other be it enemy or ally. In terms of shared mechanies i have yet to see a majority of green creatures that have first strike or lifelink or a majority of white creatures that have trample :P.
Remember elpseth already came from bant which has been dominated by white/green/blue. also remember the green/white guild from ranvica. You cant really state that there is sharing of common ideals when these are based cleary around them.
For those citing the artwork of Elspeth as a GW argument you might want to wander over to this thread http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=259374
and take a look at Elspeth on the Booster
then over to this thread http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=263694
and look at the 5th art with her and Koth.
Not a thing about her says "Nature, instinct, wild". She is still wearing plate armor, sword, stoic look on her face, shown indoors.
compare to Garruk Wildspeaker
Leather, fur, grumpy, shown in nature Nissa Revane
Elf,leather,wooden staff, shown in nature
Nothing about the mood of the images that we have says anything but W
arguement flawed, take note of a majority of green cards from mirrodin . Also background is more importent. Note Zendikar for nissa a wild untamed land hence basic nature items.
Remember green is not just about wild and instinct(those are what what green its ally to red) we are talking about the natural order and life (the ally colors of white)
Because other art in this set still depicts her wearing her original outfit? She got a suntan (from the Green one). That's no major change.
anyone thought maybe just maybe the first is just teaser art ,while this one is the card itsel. Or maybe the first art is when she arrives of mirriodin and the second is after her change of nature (excuse the pun)
No, her picture is green because she's experiencing a Green Sunrise on Mirrodin. Her clothes would be more Red if the Red Sun were up instead.
See? It keeps the flavor without changing her color.
Edit: And the plane you are standing on doesn't alter your color: Your own personal beliefs and powers determine that.
To all who are saying her clothes are just tinted because of the background hue of the card , answer this . why is it on the booster art in another thread without any of the background her clothes are Green not just tint
People saying Elspeth is G/W from the art remember when Knight Exemplar was going to be a G/W card? You can't tell a cards color by the colors used in the art.
True true but that was m11 a core set where the chances of seeing multicolored cards are 0.1% .
This is scars of mirrodin where the title and logos have gold matching with them . This gold could reflect on the gold color given to multicolor cards mushc like those of ravanica
