Had a ton of fun, best sealed I've had yet. Went 2-1, had to leave early so dropped before last round. Lost to a super sweet RG(w) aggro werewolf deck that just had all the answers while I got man flooded in game 2.
Here was my list, had a stupid amount of luck in white, human theme.
Managed to pull a pack foil Avacyn which was incredibly hype, definitely a bomb. Invocation of Saint Traft was my promo and was overall a bit underwhelming due to lack of evasion on my dudes, but generally got me the 4 damage in. Basically just played aggressively. Always Watching was amazing. Stern Constable won me a game.
A question about redirecting damage that has come up at my playgroup's table a few times recently:
If a card read "(card) deals X damage to all players" does this also damage planeswalkers? Or does the caster get the decision to redirect damage from a player to a planeswalker they control? Or neither of these?
I don't much care about him in Standard, I stopped playing T2 quite some time ago anyways.
But having the turn 2 HotP then turn 3 this guy and turn 4 Hero of Bladehold in my casual aggro white deck makes me giddy. It's cool that he is a soldier n' all but man, if he was a Knight...
This thing will see play. I want 2-3 for my token deck. Turn 2 Honor of the Pure, turn 3 this guy sounds delicious. Turn 4 Hero of Bladehold? Now we're talking damage.
I've been super busy with work and school and am falling behind, sadly. No time for games until next week probably. I will post an updated trade list and add new people when I can
I wanted to have a name that included the word "aura" and by some thought process I decided to use the word Origin and tweeked the spelling. Then I opted to further modify it to Origin X as in an unknown (varianble) origin. Just kinda stuck with it.
Given that the 3DS has a few other great titles to sink your teeth into already I would say yes. Simply to Pokemon, though, that would be entirely subjective. How much do you enjoy Pokemon? Given you have some old school experience you obviously like it more than the average gamer, so maybe the answer I would give you is still yes. I say this because I bought it and I have been thoroughly enjoying it.
The new game is a lot of fun and if you have a lot of friends that play it then it will be exponentially more enjoyable of an experience. Also, if you have any interest in playing it competitively, then I would most assuredly say yes; they added a few new features to make competitive play much easier to get into.
My advice is to look into the game and judge for yourself, but my opinion is biased and I say go for it.
As I mentioned, there are some great titles for the 3DS, are you interested in any of them?
That makes sense but when i bread every froakie will have 1 iv and their ability will be torrent instead of protean. I have a 3iv froakie with protean and a 2 iv ditto. I get the nature i want but not the ability and each one will only have a single iv. Maybe im doing it wrong.
I'm assuming you have a Destiny Knot on one of them? This is needed to carry 5 of the IVs from the parents, otherwise it's entirely random. The nature is carried from Everstone, of course. I struggled a bit with getting my Froakies with Protean because even with a Female Protean it seemed to be a 50/50 for the ability being passed.
I bred some Aqua Jet + Super Power 4 IV Marills...
Should I add Belly Drum to that set?
You don't necessarily need to, you could go with Choice Band instead. It's more or less preference, I prefer no Belly Drum because it's already a power house as it is. I like a set something like:
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Aqua Jet
Superpower
Play Rough
Waterfall
But you could do Belly Drum instead of Waterfall with a Sitrus Berry as the held item.
I seem to have an odd thing about skipping Pokemon generations.
On advice from a friend, I decided to pick Y up, and it's been worth it. That and a whole bunch of people in my major are playing it.
Been breeding, but I can't get myself to really want to put in the effort to get 5/6 IVs. Willing to put in the effort for some good IVs, but 5/6 is too much.
Friend code's 0962-9835-1984, with Machoke, Pancham, and Breloom.
I added you 0989-1762-1315 IGN is Beasley.
As for the breeding, the 5/6IV is actually quite easy once you get into it, though I understand if you wouldn't want the hassle. However, I actually find it quite fun once you get the hang of it
If you get a friend with a Ditto Safari and start getting Dittos you will accumulate a lot of 2IV, and with luck, 3+IV Dittos; this makes it much easier to do (especially in combination with other Friend Safari Pokemon).
Then once you get a good amount of 4/5IV Pokemon you can start crossbreeding them into egg groups and even trade them to other people for good IV 'mon you may want! It adds a whole new dimension to the game imo that makes it more fun to play.
It's really hard to pic just one! My favorite card has been Sigarda, Host of Herons for quite some time, but a new favorite of mine is Brimaz, King of Oreskos!
Also, digging the new look of the site and whatnot.

Noivern @ Leftovers
Infiltrator
Timid
-Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse
-Roost
-Taunt
-Flamethrower/U-Turn
EV spread mix of Special Attack, Speed and HP. Not sure what is optimal for outspeeding things and HP recovers.
Alright, no problem
Not sure if he was referring to the save glitch...
Also, @Truesight, did you still want to do the Scyther for Gligar exchange?
Awesome stuff you have here.
Any GFX forums you go on, I'd like to check into it and maybe try to make some stuff again haha
