I kind of like this. Being a hidden conspiracy is what makes it playable imo. Your opponents will have to second guess blocks all the time, and you can switch the named card every game. Or you can just put it on something evasive and beat face without committing extra cards to it. Definitely trying it out.
This is kind of a strange this or that, but Inquisition of Kozilek vs Mind Twist. I cut Mind Twist a while ago for being too powerful. This is 380 unpowered cube. It also doesn't run swords, Jitte, sol ring, pack rat, JTMS - some for power reason, some because people just didn't like them. I tried to cut out anything that created unwinnable or very unenjoyable games, or that were clearly way above most other things in power level. Mind Twist kind of felt like that to me, and I feel it may still be too good, but I'd like to hear if other people thing it's actually as miserable as it feels to me.
I have too many blue three drop creatures. I'm definitely cutting true-name nemesis at the request of several of my cubers due to the non-interactive games it creates. I was thinking of cutting Serendib Efreet, but now I'm thinking I may just swap it with Eldrazi Skyspawner to see how he performs. Thoughts? Cube size is 380
I'm leaning towards Sun's Champion or Jura, mainly because I don't want to get rid of something that my poorly-performing aggro section can potentially use. That also makes me think maybe one of the Ajanis should be in there? I have no idea. Any suggestions?
Definitely Sarkhan over Domri. Though I would pick either Sarkhan or Xenagos at such a small size.
That makes sense. I've been thinking that for a while, since all of my gruul cards are 4 drops and 2 are walker. I really hadn't considered Atarka before and she's perfect for gruul. I guess the question then becomes Sarkhan or Xenagos? I do like that Xenagos protects himself, but sarkhan wins games on a more empty board.
Just what the title says. Let's say, hypothetically, rules are changed and now hybrid cards can be used in any deck as long as one of the two colors is in your commander's color identity. What cards are you most excited to add to your decks?
We can even go a step further and add that split cards work this way as well, as long as one half is in you color identity.
I really enjoyed the film. It played heavily on nostalgia though. If you weren't already a big Star Wars fan and are just looking at it as a stand alone film, there are several things that could've been better. Still, I'd recommend it.
Also, I agree about the Adam Driver comment. I hadn't seen him before the movie and was definitely expecting someone more... intimidating.
One card I'm playing that I don't think I've seen mentioned is Soul's Fire. Can easily kill a player or two when you're not going to quite get there with combat damage, gets around things like ghostly prison or crawlspace, clears annoying blockers off the table, or can just push through the last bits of damage. One of the best cards in the deck imo.
Pretty slow and heavy costed, it's a big investment that allows your opponents to take advantage of it before you, which could be dangerous. The advantage of Helm of Awakening is that it is not a dead card while going off, and often can be laid the turn you go off to prevent opponents form taking advantage of it.
Stone Calendar is only your spells. That said, I still wouldn't play it. I think the only other 5 drop I would consider would be kiki-jiki.
Green aggro has always been second rate to me. Red, Black, and White all do it better; even blue tempo usually seems more aggressive. I dumped experiment one, loam lion, wild nacatl, and kird ape a while ago and haven't missed them at all.

Sarkhan Vol vs Domri vs Neither?
Other gruul cards are currently BBE and Xenagos.
