But wait... so youre saying (speculating) we will see: Jace, Chandra, Sorin, Nissa, and Gideon?

4/5 are in the pic, so yea we can all buy into that... but wouldnt Nissa be in there and not Garruk if this were the case?

No I'm explaining why printing those in the pic would make a lot of sense and speculating that M2012 will be more integrated into the storyline than its predecessors.

A video reel at PAX showed Gideon using his "everyone attack me ability" and then showed a army attacking him. So, unless the new one has that ability also, it's a reprint.

The video could also only be referencing to the game. While it's fairly safe to assume that M12 contains a Gideon because the add is for both, I don't think drawing such narrow conclusions from it is reasonable.
But then again I kind of doubt they'd print outright new versions of the cards. (Except maybe Garruk, I'll explain why further down).

Anyway, this whole thing makes a lot of sense to me and I think M12 will be more tied into the storyline than previous core sets.
Let's analyse the current situations the planeswalkers are in:

    Elspeth: On Mirrodin fighting Phyrexia
    Koth: "
    Venser: "
Tezzert: " (at least sort of)

    Nicol Bolas: Scheming evil schemes
Sarkhan Vol: doing stuff for Bolas

Lilliana: No mention at all for quite a while, runs about the place with her Veil
Garruk: Cursed by Lilliana, has past in Zendikar/helped Jace there

    Jace: on Zendikar
    Chandra: on Zendikar
    Sorin: on Zendikar
Nissa: on Zendikar (but kind of shunned because of what she did, if I get this correctly?)
Gideon: now here's the big clue: As far as we know, left Zendikar in search for help (aka allies)

=> conclusion. This set will be all about Gideon (and co.) gathering allies to fight the Eldrazi. So it does make a lot of sense to print those 5 in the core set, because they're the most likely/most alread qualified to fight the Eldrazi. And Sorin will probably have a grudge against Nissa after what she did and for being a racist etc... etc... so it makes sense to take Garruk instead.

Thus I don't think it's a coincidence at all that we get a picture with Gideon standing in front, as he'll be their leader being the first to rally people against eldrazi.

Started to experiment a bit with this. Mighty Leap most certainly seems like a worthwhile addition. It provides both pump and evasion, exactly what this deck needs. Also Armored Ascension seems like a really broken finisher since this is mono white.

I've got another question on the same subject, so it seems silly to open a new thread.

While it's evident from the comprehensive rules that Tezzy can turn himself to a Planeswalker Artifact Creature via Liquimetal Coating, tthe following has been bothering me:

Assuming Tezzeret is a Artifact Creature Planeswalker and you attack him, can he block for himself? :p Obviously even if he could he'd loose loyality in the fight for each point of damage dealt to him and it would be most likely senseless to do such a thing it's still a potential situation so there should be a rule for it. I can't really find anything fitting, so I guess that means he can block, weird as it may seem?

I tried to do everything as described (3 times) and always, when adding cards it says "17 done 0 errors" and I get a popup with "Error calling MWSDraw.dll -Undefined situation." Anyone got any clues?

I don't understand why they would ever use Barony Vampire in place of Moriok Reaver... I mean, flavor matters to new players, too.
Otherwise these are about the same as always, although the G/W one does look a lot worse than the others.

I actually had to stop a second and think as well, but Barony Vampire is arguably more flavorful than Moriok Reaver, as that one's Mirran and putting a Mirran in an otherwise completely Phyrexia deck would be very silly indeed...

*updated the op with information from you guys*

Would be really nice if we could rule out the imp. Do the orbs have more than 1 Imp (the flyer-sac-infect-Imp we already have)?

We can. Phyrexia has 3 isntances of Imp (covered by Flesh-Eater Imp) and the Mirrans have 0.

Also there's something really weird going on with Equipment for the Mirrans. While there are only 2 Mirran artifacts left, there are 3 instances of Equipment. This probably means that one of the other cards has at least one reference to equipments. Most likely the 7CMC white card, or Galvanoth.

Also nobody said there couldn't be something else similar to a Skullclamp, but it most certainly doesn't draw cards so that's where the similarities will end.

So, mirrans have four mythics while phyrexian have five. Is there any possibility that some unspoiled card (white?) is the remaining mirran mythic, thus shaping the number of MBS mythics at unusual number 11?

Highly doubt it. MBS looks like it has the usual block structure after all (10 Mythics, 35 Rares, 40 Uncommons, 60 Commons) and I don't think they'll break it for the sake of symmetry. Mirrans will simply get one more rare, they'll have slightly more mythics anyway since Scars is larger than New Phyrexia will be. Also each of the 5 colours has 5 rares/mythics (with red getting Galvanoth as the fifth) and the artifacts are currently "imbalanced" (6 rares for Mirrans vs. 7 for Phyrexians) which is why I think the missing rare will be an artifact.

I missed it. So did all the other mods, apparently. It's there now. Please report posts with confirmed cards in them!

Sorry, I will in the future Smile

What happened to the rumored Blue counterspell that made you discard a card as part of it's cost? Was that just trolling to spark a Force of Will debate? I was under the impression that the future drafter guys were the ones who mentioned it, but maybe it just confusion about the other counterspell?

Probably goes with the same bunch of silly rumors as the Imp and the Skullclamp. Also blue's got all its cards and I doubt they'd print a colorshifted counterspell.

This seems to be mostly correct. Don't know why Tangle Mantis isn't on the spoiler as we've got a full image of it in the IRC Party thread.

But anyway this + the missing white card (18/19), - the pinger (Blisterstick shaman) and we've got our 10. However, the Imp is disconfirmed by the orb, all 3 instances of Imp are used on Flesheater Imp.

    We're missing:

    Red: 3 (16/19)
    - Galvanoth
    - Kuldotha Ringleader
    - "Artifact Threaten"

    Black: 2 (17/19)
    - "Discard Mill"
    - *Unknown Card*

    White: 1 (18/19)
    - *Unkown Card* (Wasn't there an artwork or a mention of an evil Leonin somewhere?)

    Artifact: 3 (43/46)
    - "Reach Living Weapon"
    - "Skullclampy Thing"
    - Darksteel Plate

    Rare: 2 (33/35)
    - Galvanoth
    - "Skullclampy Thing"

    Uncommon: 5 (55/60)
    - Darksteel Plate
    - "Artifact Threaten" (Although those are usually common, I can easily see this as a rare)
    - "Reach Living Weapon" (I can also see this at common)
    - *Unkown White Card*
    - *Unkown Black Card*

    Common: 3 (58/60)
    - Kuldotha Ringleader
    - "Discard Mill"? (Can't see this as uncommon, contrary to the other two so I'd say it goes here)

Edit: Actually all instances of "Draw" or "Draws" are accounted for, so the "Skullclamp" doesn't seem to exist either.

Wow an actually not so useless shapeshifter. Might even see constructive play IMO (Yay for mimicing titans). But why of why did it have to be a 3 drop. AGAIN. Seriously wizards, I love MBS so far but seriously, Vedalken Anatomist, Treasure Mage, Neurok Commando and now this is a three drop as well?!

True that there is no true black mythic, but there are already two multicolour black ones, so I wouldn't say it's certain we get another black one :/

This card seems amazing for Pryomancer's Ascension decks. The missing part to deal with aggro.

How is Pyroclasm not enought o deal with aggro?

Anyway, called it yesterday (Earthquake like effect since EQ wasn't reprinted in M11) so this is more or less what I expected. I like how it's either a sweeper or when it's useless those extra 3 damage which can kill your opponent and allows you to actually choose between the two.

Seriously ANOTHER blue three drop? Do they really hate Grand Architect so much they can't design a new one or two drop?

Actually nobody ever said there were going to be 10 mythics. In fact since MBS isn't your typical small set (it has 155 instead of 145 cards) I'd wager that there'll be 11 mythics, 5 Mirran, 5 Phyrexian and Tezzy.
