Elves is definitely the place to be right now. It has been excellent for me, including top fouring a GPT and top 8ing a MtGO PTQ over the weekend. Has everybody received their cards by now? I would hope so.

Here's the scoop: If you live in the United States and you sent me a self-addressed envelope, your cards were put in the mail Saturday evening and are well on their way to you. If you live outside the US, meaning I have to go into the post office to get everything taken care of, or didn't send me a self-addressed envelope, meaning I have to go buy envelopes to use for you, your cards are going out in the mail tomorrow when I have a chance to get to a post office.

Since last years time capsule was just unburied, it's time to make a new one for 2009!

Make a post in here about your current ideas, ambitions, resolutions, dreams, crushes, and so on. Then, at the start of the new year, I'll bury this Time Capsule by making it hidden. Around this time next year I'll bring the thread back and we can all take a look at what we said and see what we've done, what we haven't done, and whats laughable today.

For example, if you were a certain undead monkey named Moko, you could write something like this:

Short-term goals (Goals over the next month or two): Find where Eli hid my banana stash. Find other undead monkeys to play with. I would also like to attract the cute monkey Koko, but I don't think she likes me.

I'll just try taking pictures of anyone who didn't scan theirs. I agree with Tyorl: having them by Christmas is the point. I don't think there should be any problems with using a camera. If that fails, I'll borrow a scanner from a friend.

Well, I don't have my scanner this year, so I had mentioned in the original post it would be great if everyone scanned their own before sending. But considering so many haven't, I'll try and borrow someone else's scanner or just take pictures of all of them with my camera.

Alternatively, if you guys would prefer it this way, I will be stopping by home Monday and can scan all of them then - but that means they aren't out in the mail until Tuesday, which is later than I originally wanted.

What kind of camera is it? I assume it's digital and uses a memory card; many printers or laptops have inserts for memory cards. If she goes to the library there should be a place where you can download them onto a computer there. There are also USB thumb drive-like things that allow you to move pictures from memory card to computer.
